I did'nt post this but sketch! is way better it has the super cool brush tip

and you can't get a nice fine line out of the original small tip

So buy sketch

i have a question: which one is better, the original or the sketch marker? and yeah...it is pretty pricy, around 200 philippine pesos...

I used to only use the sketch markers, but I just got a regular one to try it out.
I like the sketch because its like using a paintbrush,
but I also like the regular because it has a really thin tip on one side.
I guess its just really up to your preference! (:

uhhh....i was looking at the site (copicmarker.com) can you explain the sets? like whats the difference between a 12 set CG and 12 set WG? thanks a lot

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ariokage In reply to exziit [2008-05-18 13:33:37 +0000 UTC]

i all the cg and wg so lets see. i use Cg for black hair and black shoes, but you will be drawing tattos so Cg would be great for that. Wg would be good to buy indvualy.

Okay, I have a question:

The black ink refills come in an opaque vessel. How would you say I should judge 2 or 3 lines down to refill my broad black marker? (was it my imagination, or is the refill you showed up there transparent with the ink being visible inside)

Naazuri In reply to C2ii [2008-03-10 08:11:54 +0000 UTC]

It's another copic marker (typically sold separately) that's basically extremely necessary (in my pov) It helps the markers blend together. where the shades are the same.

i have a few questions about copics:

1. what major art suppliers might have them?
2. do u have to use that weird copic paper in those sketchbooks or can u use plain old paper?
3. What is copic cololess blend?
uhm && i think thats it sorry bout the Q's but i need to kno b4 i buy.

hallistorkx3 In reply to organization-hearts [2007-12-11 04:21:37 +0000 UTC]

1. im not quite sure, you can check their websites though. i only know them for orange county.
2. the copic paper is good for the markers, but i dont really like it because its pretty transparent, so just find a really absorbent paper that the copics wont bleed through.
3. a colorless blender is this ink that you lay down before you color on it, and it helps blend the colors together and avoid harsh lines. i don't use one, but i've heard theyre somewhat helpful.

i hope that helps! (:

Do you know if a skin tone color comes in the 12 pack? I didn't notice that it did, so I will have to separately buy one, right?

I have every single color of the Original Copic Markers. My question is, what is the difference between the Originals and the Sketch? I know there's some different colors in Sketch than Original, but do they have any other difference other than the nibs? Is one softer than the other? Blend better than the other? If you were going to suggest one over the other, what would you suggest?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hallistorkx3 In reply to SeiranKaelin [2007-08-27 00:43:39 +0000 UTC]

i only own some sketch markers, so i'm not really sure on this one. the sketch ones have one thick nib and one paintbrush-like nib, so its easy to do blocks of color in addition to fine lines and stuff like that. so i'd suggest sketch only because i dont own any regulars (:

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SeiranKaelin In reply to hallistorkx3 [2007-08-27 22:16:29 +0000 UTC]

Well the regular copics also have one wide and one fine, so that's why I wasn't sure which set I should go with. If I could figure out exactly what the difference is and test them out, I'd be tempted to buy some sketch. But they're quite pricey and I must say I probably have quite enough already. ._. I've spent $1400 in copic supplies, not just markers though.

I actually appreciate this too.. I been looking for good skin colors, and BAM! Here they are. Now, if only I could afford them. I have yellowish skin pink, flesh, (both copic) and light peach (prismacolor) for my skin now, and bleh..hopefully these will prove better when I acquire them.

For curiosity's sake, why do you lay down a layer of the colorless blender first? Sorry if someone's asked this before; I didn't see it on the first page and was curious. :3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hallistorkx3 In reply to CommaQueen [2007-08-05 02:02:49 +0000 UTC]

it acts as something that blends the colors together when you draw so they look more smooth and seamless.
