Agreed, but referring back to basic color theory, green is made up of blue and yellow. Teal is just specific name for a different variation of that mix.
That's why I say his eyes are teal, because the shade of green that Riku's eyes are has more blue than yellow. The green you have here is more yellow than blue.
The best example to take color from would be an official 2D drawing of Tetsuya Nomura's. It's harder to get color from a 3D image because of the added lighting, textures, and atmosphere.
