"Spartan Duck Armor"

A graphic rendition of a ground-breaking discovery uncovered in an archeological dig in Southern Greece... A nearly complete, fully-articulated, example of "Spartan Duck" armor...

Though little is known of the legendary "Spartan Duck" warriors, in their day they are thought to have been held in high esteem by their adversaries as is evidenced from the few fire-damaged disarticulated pieces of armor and blackend bone fragments found previously... These artifacts have been most often found near hearth fires of enemy encampments and suggest they were granted the honor of a funerary pyre by the adversaries... There are also a very few snippets of the heroic Donald-eric epic poems of the era that reference these mythic warriors as the fiercest fowl in history...

With this discovery one can now imagine flocks of "Spartan Duck" warriors marching, rank upon rank, to battle dressed in their opalescent orachalum armor, their polished bronze shields gleaming in the sun and their pikes couched firmly under wing, with the echo of their Mother's charge of "Come home carrying your shield in Victory or on it skewered for supper!" ringing in their ears...
