Description Im back from my 10 day trip to Latvia, with some beautiful photography to show u all.
This is a railway bridge that passes over Daugava, a river that flows through the capital Riga. The stunning sunsets
and sunrises followed me everywhere i went, so I took my camera with me almost every time
in order not to miss a single moment of this truely beautiful place.

Enjoy My friends!

And enjoying it I am. And what fascinates me a lot about this picture is that the sky seems a lot rustier than the bridge itself. An eerie, but romantic atmosphere settles in.

The noise most certainly adds to the picture, don't you think?

Apart from the border and text, is this picture edited in any way?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

halo-monk In reply to ftpaddict [2007-04-26 06:49:41 +0000 UTC]

the contrast was bumped up a notch and a high pass introduced to get the detail of the bridge a bit more clearer. I couldn't be assed with the noise, could have ran it through an algorithm but then again as u said it actualy adds to the picture.

Great eye for repition and direction. The light posts were a great advantage to the composition and weight of the picture, definately. They also give the photograph a greater sense of hieght and size. Where as the bridge itself, I don't think, would have made the composition as visually interesting.

Really stunning, the detail is sublime here.
Everything is so easy to see and appreciate, even the thin power lines running along side the bridge.
I particularly like the beautiful warm colours in the sky you've caught.

classic and prominent collaborations of tones aswell as the composition beeing faithful to the scene, the wide angle, ( not to call it negative space) does very well for itself, seeing as the sky would make a superb addition to any subject (one of those things you desperatly look for), and this subject beeing so jummy. nice shot man
