Well as soon as I saw the new trooper designs I got excited for Rogue one. Can't wait to see it and hopefully get some more sketches done.5 minutes after work.

That being said; I actually liked the Star Wars prequels. I have great memories of watching them and the original trilogy as well! Rogue One is my favourite out of the three new Star Wars movies. (The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi being okay too!)

It seems star wars fans are never happy, give them what they want and they moan, give them something new and they moan. Give them their perfect movie and they'd still find something to complain about. I liked the fact that Rogue One wasn't all about the jedi or how the skywalker bloodline is so amazing. Episode 2 and 3 were alright as too, I'd have preferred more focus on the galaxy wide war and less politics but I can still enjoy them.

There are lots of whiny fandoms out there, trust me. The Star Wars fandom being one of the most obvious examples. It proves how hard to please and stubborn they really are. The Transformers fandom isn't much better at times. I'm assuming that you're not a fan of Episode 1, then?

I feel sorry for the people that spend time and effort to make a movie for the fans and then have those same fans just bitch and moan because it's not everything they specifically wanted, it must be awful. I don't hate episode 1 but I don't particularly like it, the pod racing was an interesting idea and the battle droids were cool looking but everything else just bored me.

Yeah, I agree. It wasn't easy making a high-budget Star Wars movie and are the fandom greatful? No. I hate how overly harsh and judgemental people can be about anything that they don't like. People always make a mountain out of absolutely everything. The Star Wars fandom being an obvious manifestation of this. I feel like I'm in the minority for absolutely everything and it really hurts. Btw, I've just seen people argue about something on YouTube. That is why I like DA better because it's not certainly as bad in that sense. It has a much better atmosphere most of the time.
You're obviously much better than a lot of other Star Wars fans. I respect your opinion. And that film was certainly quite creative to give credit where it's due.

At first I thought it was like boba fetts range finder thing and it'd flip down over the eyes but now I'm not sure. it could a sensor module or just extra armour, I hope they explain it at some point.

I think I may have an answer. It's reinforced armour to reduce the risk of headdhots from enemy marksmen. The Germans had helemets like that in WW1, with extra steel plating. Just a guess really.

The helmet kinda looks like the EOD helmet from Halo.

I really like These Shore Troopers, Death Troopers and Tank Troopers, but I have this one question though. Why do they have these type of armors? It is after Episode 3 and before Episode 4 after all :c
