Most of the time Raiden is either dark or good but I like the idea of Raiden being mortal and enjoying his life!
I'm just showing more love to mortal Raiden

Mortal Kombat 2/Annihilation - Yeah I know everyone HATES this movie but I don't, strangely. Yes it's bad but I enjoy as a pop-corn film, and unpopular opinion but James Remar is the closest to game Raiden.
I'm not saying Lambert wasn't Raiden but both him, Jeff Meek (Konquest TV Show) and Clancy Brown (Defeaters of the Realm) were mostly wise cracking and a tad laid back. James Remar feels more like game Raiden if that mads scene. Plus he was the first to in the media to give up his immortality to fight.
The actor didn't crack joke and stick to figuring out a way to protect Earthrealm.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Again I know everyone hates this game and hate Raiden being mortal, I'm mix about it but the ending of Raiden giving his power and title to Liu Kang is nice, honestly I'm happy for him to turn mortal, let the guy enjoy his retirement until the next game.
That Heart to Heart moment (Not including Aftermath story) with Liu Kang did bring a smile on to myself. Plus brown eyes look nice on him.

Mortal Kombat Legends 2 - Battle of the Realms - Raiden once again giving up his mortality to fight in Shao Kahn's tournament to fight among his warriors, the part were Raiden states he's going to try sleeping for the first time is really adorable! and how close his bond is to Liu Kang (should had added Kung Lao to) and how he's willing to risk it all for the realm and for him!!
Honestly I really like the first half of the movie but the rest just was...a mess. Like they cramped in four story-lines, the second tournament, Raiden's accpecting he isn't mortal, Kuai Liang/Sub-Zero's clan betraying him, his brother's revenge and cybering everyone, Scorpion trying out run Shinnok to get him because of the Kamidogo....ugh Why couldn't they save Shinnok for the next film? (Which is happening)

I know they're rebooting the games again so He'll be a god again or suprsiely if they kept him as mortal? who knows. We'll see.
