"The Object" appeared one day, uninvited and from points unknown. A curious thing, floating in the air, stationary and silent as if it were guarding those that passed beneath. Or perhaps threatening if you're one of those intimidated by the unexplained happenings that crop up from time to time. Me? I just shrug my shoulders and find another way to get where I'm going without tempting fate. I freely admit I'm a coward and will probably live longer than most because of it.
