heh a random sketch turned into a full on drawingHeeei guizz I noticed on my last Fluttershy drawing there was a lot of drama that "oh mai gawd flutter would never do datt!!1!"
I never said any of the stuff is based on their canon character ; u ;
anyways criticism is always welcome . 3 .

Hey there! I have to say, just at a first glance, this drawing is magnificent. The composition is gorgeous and the colors are fabulous. While I don't exactly understand the story behind this painting, I know that this drawing TELLS a story, which is the more important aspect. I don't know if it's the contentment on her face while sleeping with a skull, or the fact that she appears to be snuggling with it, but I LOVE how this combines the macabre with the adorable. *squee*
I never give more than three originality stars for an MLP fan drawing, so don't take it too personally. The concept itself (a cute yellow pony snuggling with a dead animal's head) is very original, but I wouldn't be reacting in the way that I am if I didn't have preconceived ideas about Fluttershy first. No big deal.
The shading is beautiful; it kind of strikes me as a mixture between a glossy anime-ish kind of shading and traditional cartoon cell-shading. The only nitpick I really have with the technique is that the connection between the wing and the body is a little awkward, but other than that, there are no glaring issues with the subject itself.
I gave five stars for impact because you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish with this painting, and you did it stunningly. Kudos to you for combining Fluttershy with dead animals and having it STILL be adorable.

Fluttershy is a child of nature afterall. She is attuned to a circle of life and shouldn't feel uncomfortable in such case. I guess. However, Im not sure why OfficialGoldenOwl gave only three stars for originality. Such blending of fluffy fuzzy pegasus with a hard and spiky skull looks quite unseen to me.

Hi there! The only reason why I gave three stars for originality is because this is an MLP fanart. Perhaps I would not be so impacted by the originality of this drawing if I was not familiar with Fluttershy as a character. And since Fluttershy is not the artist's character, I gave only three stars. Hope this helps!

These two pieces you've done with fluttershy have easily become my favorite pieces in your entire gallery the combination of such a sweet and soft spoken character (Which you portray excellently in facial expression and body position in both pieces) and the quote on quote darker form of the skull was a brilliant idea and in my opinion was a very original take on fluttershy that one does not see very often. I do believe that is the one part where me and OfficialGoldenOwl differ in opinion. As opposed to "Feel Empty" you've given "Peace" a much happier almost serene like feel with your softer coloring and I think provides a nice contrast between the two stories they are portraying. Nicely done and it's no wonder this was featured on Equestria Daily. Congradulations!

Hello! I understand that people disagree with me only giving three stars for originality. I promised myself, as a critic, to ever rate fanart above a three star originality. The reason for this is not because the art doesn't have a unique or interesting concept, it's because the art itself builds on the already developed character. I hope this cleared some things up.
