ANYWAY HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED INGAME!
my area encounter for the outer complex was an elekid or something, buuuuut i fucked it up and Geoff KO'd it
so i headed inside after reuben evolved and my area encounter for the INNER complex was a double battle with a magnemite and a growlithe (i bolted for the dark grass because swag). i thought an arcanine would have been batter than a magnezone in the long run so i want for the growlithe. also, the magnemite killed reuben with a sonic boom fallowed by a crit tackle. ... soooooo i diddnt really feel like catching it after that >:I
but anyway

Rueben evolves, then IMMEDIATELY.... Damn I forgot about this and thought he was going to make it, especially with all the work put into the German... Stupid freaking Sonic Boom... I know you made it look like a self destruct instead which is cool, and explains the Growlithe away without having to try to draw what happened. Another loss so soon though, I feel bad for Nick.

Sonic Boom hurts man. It's one of those fixed damage moves, it always takes 20 HP. Moves like that always cause trouble in the early game. Good thing wild pokemon AI just uses random moves, or else Virbank's magnemites would be unstoppable.
