Description
It's been a long time since I uploaded anything. Exams were going on, and many other things happened. This was a stress relief and an ambitious project. I wanted to draw each frame individually showing a flower fairy transformation sequence and a flight pattern of some sort. There are a total of 32 frames. I only used PS CS4, for both the drawing and creating the gif. This is the result XD.I'm also working on a colored version of this. I'll upload that if it works out alright.
This is my first attempt at doing anything animation related, but somehow, it came out better than I'd expected. Hope you enjoy! Thank you for all the support till now.

Thanks so much, glad you think so!
Well, I first was sketching out the movements on paper, so it was easier to plan the movements on PS. I drew each frame and then filled in with any extra frames for a smoother motion (as smooth as I could go that is XD). It was a series of random trials and errors actually.

Aw, convey my thanks to your husband as well! Really appreciate the feedback. Yes, it was a lot of hard work, but I am glad people like you and your husband think that it was worth the effort! :')
I tried this approach specifically after watching many of James Baxter's traditional animation. I wasn't and still am not very knowledgeable on animation and how to use the timeline properly, so I really appreciate your detailed reply!
After you mentioned that particular issue, I looked back at it and realized what you meant. Yes, it is a little off, now that you mention it. I said I was working on a colored version of this, but it's only like 50% done and it's been over 2 years. If I do get the chance, I'll try to make the movement smoother, which was my original goal, actually.
I've never heard of Toonboom, but I'll look into it! Thanks for informing me of it. If using it will ensure saving time and effort, then I'll definitely use it, that is, if I get time to do any animation XD . I have been trying to get into animating more stuff like this, but I don't get much time.
Again, I am so thankful for your feedback and suggestions. It means a lot!

Again thank you so much for all the advice. You seem to know quite a bit about animation or at least, how to approach animation. Have you ever considered making animations of your artwork/story? It would be so awesome to see your beautiful characters animated.
I think I'll approach the floating bubble exercise first. It sounds fun and interesting to try out. Also the bouncing ball exercise sounds quite useful. I never thought about the importance of "rhythm" so understanding it better would be very effective. Thank you so much, yet again! XD
Although animation is just a hobby/fascination for now, I want to get into it more deeply. If I didn't have any other commitments, I would actually invest more time and dedication into it, but unfortunately this is not the case. So it will remain just a hobby for now XD

Now I think you definitely should do some animation of your characters :') I hope one day you get enough time to make something like that, if you want that is. I'd love to see your past animation work, like the cut-out animation if you have any.
Talking to you in such a short time, I already feel like I've gained a lot of useful advice. I'm glad I met such a helpful and kind person!

Aw, you mean you did the part with the adorable snowman? I never heard of Polo, but it looks so cute.
My mom also was in animation a long time ago, since then I have a fascination for animation, although I could not get proper training. She also did this type of animation, so looking at that clip reminded me of that time when I used to watch my mom animate stuff.

Yes she did unfortunately. But that's life I guess :')
Next time if I do animation, I'll know who to seek advice from
Right now I'm more focused on making digital paintings, so animation will have to wait XD I still have many ongoing art pieces I wish to finish. Hopefully after that I can focus on some animation.

Wow... good luck with the colour version! It's a ton of work. Don't let anyone steal it D:

Well, it's far away from being completed (maybe 35% done :'3 ) and I won't have much free time from now on, so it'll be much harder to complete the colouring, but I'm determined to finish it one day, so let's hope for the best :'3

Yes I really enjoyed myself. I'm glad that it impressed you! I'm afraid the coloured version has to wait bc I've suddenly become very very busy, hence, the late reply. XD
And as always, thank you so much!
