My excerpt from the Factory Freaks AU:

Augustus: It’s implied at the end of catcf that he’s made out of chocolate. This greatly disturbs him. He has to constantly worry about melting. His condition only worsens when the small vermin (ie. the gummy worms and nerds. The living gummy worms work as normal worms and live in the Chocolate river room. The nerds are the Chocolate room’s version of maggots) living in the factory slowly begin to eat him. He has to sleep in a refrigerator at night so that he doesn’t melt. He’s also Charlie’s “buddy”. Or as he calls it the unfortunate soul chained to him. When Charlie wants to go somewhere he has to drag him there. He doesn’t hate Charlie as much as he says. He’s quite happy to have the company but he won’t admit it.
