Lilo: But before we begin, here’s some fast facts about the movie that started it all!
Stitch: Lilo and Stitch, the 42nd film in the Walt Disney Animation Studios canon was first suggested by DIsney’s then CEO Michael Eisner in the mid 90s as a more modern version of Dumbo which meant that it’s a cheaper movie which would give a bigger profit!
Lilo: The idea of Stitch started with the film’s creator Chris Sanders back in 1984 when Eisner, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Frank Wells were first in charge of Disney. He gave a story outline of just Stitch on Earth trying to find his own identity but then…
Stitch: Long story short, he changed the setting from a forest to a rural town in Kansas and THEN changed it to Hawaii and the artists had to draw more like Chris’s style for the film.
Lilo: Well we do have to show OUR series right now!
Stitch: Yep, it’s the one where we make our own Looney Tunes cartoon!
