STITCH AND EXPERIMENTS S2E12 “SWAPPING SATURDAY”

INT STITCH’S ROOM FRIDAY AFTERNOON

SWAPPER HAS SWITCHED STITCH AND EVILE’S MINDS

Stitch(now sounding like Evile):  Let’s see if I can do this!

STITCH POPS OUT HIS EXTRA ARMS, SPIKES AND ANTENNAE ONLY TO FIND THAT EVILE HAS NONE OF THE SAME FEATURES AS STITCH

Stitch:  Oh bliznak!  This stupid body doesn’t have any of the extra stuff!

Evile (now sounding like Stitch): Hey cousin!

EVILE GROWS HIS SECOND HEAD AND EXTRA ARMS AND ANTENNAE AS WELL AS RETRACTING HIS JAW AND BACK

Evile:  I’ve got the abilities of at least 20 of you guys and I’m stronger than ever!

Angel:  Ooh!  Stitch you’re even hotter in Evile’s body!

Evile:  Oh baby!

Stitch:  I think I’ve had enough!

Evile:  You wanna fight?

Stitch:  No!  Swapper!  Stop it right now!

Swapper:  Okay.

SWAPPER REVERSES THE BRAIN SWITCH

Stitch (now back in his body):  Well it was fun while it lasted.

Evile (now back in his body):  Oh my sweet body, I will never let you go!

Swapper head 1:  Heh heh heh.  Let’s swap Jumba with Pleakley!  Heh heh heh.

Swapper head 2:  No way dude, we already did that!  Huh huh huh.

All rolled up in one package, isn’t that lovely!

And I’ve got strength in numbers and that’s a fact!
Everyone is like a brother or a sister!
Even when you’re gone I’m not gonna miss ya!
If you don’t like it then Meega Nala Kweesta!
That’s Tantalog for kiss my keister!

INT TOM SCHUMACHER HIGH SCHOOL FRIDAY AFTERNOON

“SWAPPING SATURDAY”

Lilo:  Another week, another reason to give teachers a migraine or a good day, whichever comes first!

Mertle:  At least the week is over and we’ve got a weekend of cartoons and surfing and video games!

Written by LAUREN TOM LILIANA MUMY and HARRY SHOEMAKER

Victoria:  So Mertle, are you inviting Lilo for another sleepover and your house?

Mertle:  Actually she invited ME for a sleepover at HER house!

Directed by CHUCK SHEETZ MARK HENN

Keoni:  Well just imagine it, when you two first met you couldn’t stand each other and now you’re as close as friends as Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer!

Mertle:  Well I would like to tell you that I’ve got some homework!  I’ve got a 200 page essay on JFK and I haven’t even seen the movie yet!

Lilo:  Well I’ve also gotta balance a social life as well as living without my parents!  At least you have a mother!

Mertle:  And at least you’ve got a bigger sister!  I’m an only child!

Lilo and Mertle:  If you were in my shoes you would know how my life is so different from yours!

Yuki:  Be careful!  Haven’t you seen the movie “Freaky Friday”?

Lilo:  Which one?

Yuki:  What do you mean “which one”?

Teresa:  Well there was the original starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris from 1976…

Elena:  A 1995 made-for-TV movie starring Gaby Hoffmann and Shelly Long…

Mertle:  And of course the 2003 Disney cult classic starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan directed by Mark Waters!

Lilo:  Not to mention a Disney Channel Original Movie which just slipped my mind!

Yuki:  Well whichever version you watch it there’s always the notion that on a Friday a mother and a daughter will have their brains switched and there’s a reason like it’s Friday the 13th or there’s some jewelry or a supernatural fortune cookie!

Lilo:  Well Yuki, there’s no amulets…

Mertle:  It hasn’t been Friday the 13th since July and there won’t be until September!

Lilo:  And there is an alien that I have known as Swapper who could switch our brains faster than you can say “trading places”!

Keoni: Let’s at least get the party started at say 6:00 PM!

INT PELEKAI HOUSEHOLD 5:45 PM

Lilo:  Well now I’m holding a sleepover here tonight and please don’t embarrass yourselves!

Stitch:  Got it, Lilo!

Nosy:  Hope that nobody wets the bed!

Lilo:  I haven’t seen anybody do that!  Not even Stitch!

DOORBELL RINGS

Lilo:  It must be them!

EVERYBODY IS THERE AT THE DOOR

Mertle:  Okay Lilo, ready for the sleepover and I also have to write that essay on JFK and I need some help!

Lilo:  Well I have studied JFK for a couple of weeks and I know it better!

Stitch:  Why are we talking about homework?  It’s a sleepover!  Let’s get the party started!

SLEEPOVER FESTIVITIES GO ON WHILE PINK’S “GET THE PARTY STARTED” PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND

THE GIRLS DO SOME MAKEUP AND OTHER STUFF WHILE THE BOYS WATCH SOME TV

Mertle:  Well so far so good and thank you for doing part of my essay!

Lilo:  I compromised that I would do the first 100 pages while you do the other 100 pages!

Mertle:  Sometimes I wish I could be you just so I could be friends with myself!

Lilo:  Be careful what you wish for!

SWAPPER OVERHEARS THIS

INT STITCH’S ROOM SATURDAY MORNING 8:00 AM

EVERYBODY IS WATCHING CARTOONS AND EATING BREAKFAST

Mertle:  So I think I’ll try to do my homework today but I still think that we shouldn’t have homework over the weekend!

Lilo:  What do you mean?

Mertle:  Well I don’t know!  Why don’t you be in my shoes!

SWAPPER COMES OUT

Swapper:  Showtime!

Stitch:  Swapper, don’t do it for me again!

Swapper:  No, we’ve got our prize on those two!

Swapper head 1:  Heh heh, you said “got our prize”.  Heh heh heh.

SWAPPER SWITCHES LILO AND MERTLE’S MINDS INTO EACH OTHER

Stitch:  Forget Freaky Friday, this is a Swapping Saturday!

ACT II

INT STITCH’S ROOM DAY

LILO AND MERTLE’S MINDS HAVE BEEN SWITCHED

Yuki:  What did I say?  Someday you two could have your minds switched!

Lilo (now sounding like Mertle):  I look even weirder than usual!

Mertle (now sounding like Lilo):  You’re weird?

Lilo:  Well nobody’s really perfect!

Pleakley:  What happened?

Jumba:  From looks of it, 355 has switched minds of Lilo and Mertle for sake of an experiment!

Reuben:  So you finally learned their names!

Bonnie:  At least he did the smart thing by switching the minds of two humans instead of two aliens!

Clyde:  Or one alien and one human!

Sparky:  Well we can’t let them stay this way forever!

Slushy:  Yeah, think of what could happen!

Mertle:  Well since I’m in Mertle’s body I could finish that JFK assignment…

Lilo:  And since I’m in Lilo’s body I could have an older sibling…

Keoni:  Well you have to be back in your bodies by Monday morning!

Lilo and Mertle:  How about Sunday night?

Keoni:  Okay, Sunday night could do!

Reuben:  At least things couldn’t get any worse!

REUBEN’S PHONE RINGS

Reuben:  Oh son of a-

REUBEN ANSWERS THE PHONE

Reuben:  Hello?

Gantu:  Reuben. It’s Gantu, Hamsterviel has escaped as has brought 628 and Leroy with him!

Reuben:  Oh great!  And I was just about to ask what happened to him!

Gantu:  No time to talk!  I have to run!

GANTU HANGS UP

Reuben:  Well this situation has gone from bad to worse!  Hamsterviel has escaped for like the 50th time or so and he could attack us!

Lilo:  Wait a minute, you mean that gerbil?

Mertle:  He’s a little sensitive about people calling him a gerbil, he likes it when he’s compared to a hamster!

Lilo:  Why don’t I just stay here while you go to my house?

Mertle:  Okay, I’ll finish your JFK homework assignment!

Shush:  A little bit of a problem seeing how Mrs Laybourne may get suspicious of cheating!

Mertle:  But we’re not cheating!

Clip:  Well you better stay out of trouble!

Dupe:  And at least don’t judge your fashion!

Felix:  And be clean!

Lordier:  And your pants are secured tightly!

Mertle:  Okay!  I’ll take my rollerblades on!

MERTLE ROLLERBLADES TO HER HOUSE UNAWARE THAT LILO IS IN HER BODY

Lilo:  Okay, you… I don’t wanna say disfigured but um unusual aliens.  I’ll try to talk to Nani and see what she has to say.

LILO GOES TO NANI’S ROOM

Stitch:  Reuben, give me camera footage of Mertle, or Lilo going to Mertle’s house!

Reuben:  You got it!

REUBEN SHOWS STITCH AND THE OTHERS FOOTAGE OF MERTLE COMING HOME

EXT EDMONDS HOUSE

MERTLE GOES TO HER HOUSE AND OPENS THE DOOR

Mrs Edmonds:  Oh hi Mertle!

Mertle:  Hi Mrs Edm-, mom!

Mrs Edmonds:  What happened to your voice?

Mertle:  Um well I was just at the sleepover and…

Mrs Edmonds:  Oh of course!

Mertle:  Do you know where Gigi is?

Mrs Edmonds:  In your room upstairs

Mertle:  Okay, I’ll go there!

MERTLE ENTERS HER ROOM

Mertle:  Let’s see, No Doubt poster, Disney plushies, picture of Daria on a dartboard and probably not the MTV character, all that’s missing is Gigi!

Gigi:  You called?

Mertle:  Hi Gigi.

Gigi:  Mertle, what happened to you?

Mertle:  I’m actually Lilo trapped in Mertle’s body due to Swapper, it’s kind of a long story but I have to do a JFK essay!

Gigi:  So that means Mertle’s body is in Lilo’s and I wonder what is going on there…

INT PELEKAI HOUSEHOLD

LILO TALKS TO NANI WHILE NO DOUBT’S “SIMPLE KIND OF LIFE” PLAYS ON NANI’S RADIO

Lilo:  Uh Nani?

Nani:  You know my name for nearly the last two decades.  Anyways, what do you want?  And what is up with your voice?

Lilo:  It’s a sign of growing up.

Nani:  Why did you come here?

Lilo:  Just to make sure that Stitch is alright!

Reuben:  So far, nobody notices that their minds are swapped.

Sparky:  Well Gigi noticed it and she’s an alien!

Stitch:  Let’s just hope that Hamsterviel doesn’t find out either…

COMMERCIAL BREAK

ACT III

INT EDMONDS HOUSEHOLD NIGHT

MERTLE IS JUST ABOUT TO FINISH HER JFK REPORT AND IS ABOUT TO WRITE HER SIGNATURE

Mertle:  Come on, Lilo.  You can write Mertle’s name!

Gigi:  Or you can use that stamp her mom gave to her when she was young.

MERTLE FINDS THE STAMP AND STAMPS ON HER PAPER

Mertle:  Finally!  My homework is done!  Now I gotta contact Lilo, who is Mertle swapped into my real body!

INT PELEKAI HOUSEHOLD NIGHT

LILO ENTERS STITCH’S ROOM

Lilo:  Okay, I have to call Lilo who is really in my body!

Stitch:  Got it!

LILO CALLS MERTLE

Mertle:  Hello?

Lilo:  Lilo, it’s Mertle!  Did you do the homework?

Mertle:  Yes, do you know where Hamsterviel is?

Lilo:  He’s outside the door!

Mertle:  Well I gotta get there ASAP!

MERTLE ROLLERBLADES TO LILO’S HOUSE

Lilo: Nani!  I gotta get outside and take on Hamsterviel!

Stitch:  We’ll come too!

Nani:  Why?

Lilo:  Hamsterviel is outside!

MERTLE HAS ROLLERBLADED HER WAY AND MRS EDMONDS IS THERE TOO

Mrs Edmonds:  Mertle, why are you dragging me out here?

Mertle:  I’ll tell you in a little while!

HAMSTERVIEL ARRIVES FROM HIS RENTED SPACESHIP AND SO DO LEROY AND 628

Hamsterviel:  So we meet again Lilo Pelekai and…  Leroy, who’s the name of four-eyes?

Leroy:  It’s Mertle Edmonds!

Lilo:  So we meet again… Milton!

Mertle:  Nice going, Mertle!

Nani:  Mertle?

Hamsterviel:  What’s going on?

Lilo:  Okay, let’s not beat around the bush, Lilo and I had our minds switched by experiment 355, Swapper!

628:  If you could give me that, we’ll be on our way!

Lilo and Mertle:  Over our swapped bodies!

LILO AND MERTLE BEAT UP 628

Swapper:  I think that’s enough fun for one weekend!

SWAPPER SWITCHES BACK LILO AND MERTLE’S MINDS BACK INTO THEIR BODIES

Lilo and Mertle:  We’re back into our bodies!

Mertle:  And just wait until we get a hold of you!

Hamsterviel:  RETREAT!

Grand Councilwoman:  That was fast!

Hamsterviel:  Just take me back!

Nani:  I’m just glad you’re back to normal, for the 25th time!

Mrs Edmonds:  I’m glad you’re safe!

Mertle:  Cartoons, being somebody else, getting my homework done is all part of a Saturday I’ll never forget!

Lilo:  Well, do you want to listen to De La Soul’s “Saturday” or Nick Carter’s “Is It Saturday Yet”?

Mertle:  Call me crazy!

Lilo:  You’re crazy!

Mertle:  But I’ll go with Nick Carter!

Sample:  Well here you go!

SAMPLE PLAYS “IS IT SATURDAY YET” BY NICK CARTER

Reuben:  Well another happy ending and another Saturday gone!

Evile:  At least I still have my body!

INT TOM SCHUMACHER HIGH MONDAY

Mrs Laybourne:  Congratulations Mertle!  A+!  How did you do that much of a paper?

Mertle:  Let’s just say Lilo helped me!

Lilo:  Well I couldn’t have done it without you, Mertle!

Yuki:  They’re back in their bodies that fast?

Mertle:  Our bodies were back Saturday night!

Yuki:  I don’t know where I was!
