I'm not a fan of SaiSaku (AT ALL), but I kinda like this picture...
I'm a sucker for dramatic stuff.

Not cool sending her a link to that. Bases do take a lot of work...not everybody can trace them perfectly and turn the art into pixel/digital art. It takes hours and days doing that. I bet you won't be able to do that.

no its not....i came here from the link...besides if you have to go do a base because you can't draw a human than that means PRACTICE!! not saying give up....but still......if you draw on your OWN its better...not that you are bad for using it...maybe use it for a baby step for drawing....anyways why trace? make your own base THEN say credit me...dont trace and say "oh this is mine i did it...so credit me or else..." I've done one base...dont like it..i have a friend who uses bases...i have nothing against her...she is very nice and i believe she has talent...i just don't like bases..thats all...

you don't need to get mean. Infact now that i progress, i only use them as guides like i use them for hand positions and as references. some people need them, and i respect your opinion, but chill.

I hate to be 'that guy' but shouldn't you be asking the original artist permission to use their artwork to create a base of your own? I know I'd be a bit upset if someone traced a picture I did for a base without asking me first.
And what would happen.. if someone used your base to make a base based of the picture you based your base off? So they used your work to based off her work to make their work for people to use? XD

Well, I don't think that those types of bases shouldn't be allowed on DA, but I do think people should get permission. Making something into a base to be used does take work, sometimes a lot depending on the base, and does deserve some credit. I'm really not okay with dishing out things like 'you don't deserve....' because in reality that type of thing is really subjective.
