Finally! Entry for 's contest~

Ok, people. I now present to you my favorite color...(brass band drum roll please...)

RED

It oozes passion, OHMAHGAWD! 8D

SO. Why on earth is red the color of passion, you ask?

We'll get to that. LOL

You see, many people associate red with love, lust, and anger. As for me, red is related to those emotions, but it doesn't end there.

For red to really signify such emotions, said emotions HAVE to be felt to the SUPERLATIVE degree. (For example, pink, a lighter version of red, can also symbolize love. SWEET love only, though.)

And this is where passion enters the scene. Passion is present when there is determination to achieve something for one's self. Passion is there when it seems as if the highest level of feelings has been expressed. Yep.

I drew the girl that way because I think red can be a modern color, but its roots will remain classic and elegant. (Thus the modernized hobble skirt.) She has a scar on her back, if you have failed to notice; this symbolizes that if someone is passionate, they don't give a cookie whether they get injured from their obsession of the thing they want to have the most.

She has green eyes, yes. If I'm not mistaken, green is the complementary color of red. Since eyes are the windows to the soul, I want to emphasize the fact that overly passionate people have the tendency to pretend to be someone they are not for the sake of pretenses.

I chose red because...I love red. I think red would be an ample choice if I were to decide what my personality's color is. It's suppose to be a personification of a color, I think. Therefore, I did not bother drawing a red background.

Well, I hope that covers it. Sorry for the long description.
