OMG YAY I'M DONEOk so I officially got tired on this one and it shows in places XD BUT I was on a roll in finishing some gifts for Kelathi so I'm super excited with this, and I do like my two people here (Kasumi and Ryo), but my background isn't as good as my last upload (earlier today). The bridge and temple and... ya. XD Wasn't sure what I was doing lol. This was a fun composition too cuz Kasumi's very tactile, and Ryo tries very hard to be the cool guy, especially in public, so I see her having fun teasing him XD
Just glad I got these done at last XD Kelathi's been very VERY patient in waiting for these ^_^;;;;;; haha

Oh my goooooosh THIS IS HELLA CUTE!! I love it all, their expressions, the composition, her hair (<3 <3) their clothes look soooo good, you did really well with the shininess as you can tell Kasumi's is made of silk, the blossom petals..... agh It's amazing and I love it! Thank you so much

Blend mode = changing what "blend" a layer has, i.e. every time you use a layer with multiply or darken or screen, since it changes how it interacts ("blends") with other layers
So I just meant doing a blend mode using the screen option (takes current colors and lightens them, usually offers a nice, semi-vivid version of the same color when overlaid), but again since it's the computer deciding what color it ends up being, I sometimes will mix or just use what color I want it to have on there.

You can - it's just really difficult to get the specific results you want, so what I like doing is having a single color for shading on multiply, and then pick my own highlights so the shadows can work together, but the highlights go the direction I want them to. It's a skill worth learning though! I'm still trying to learn some of the Illuminosity settings

Interesting! I wanna experiment more with brushes etc. but I don't really understand how to do it/if you can download brushes on medibang... I have photoshop but its so glitchy I don't use it

Ah ok... If you have an iPad I totally recommend Procreate, it's becoming a fabulous app for art, and I think it's only six? Much cheaper
