Description
Here's an motivation of Guts from Berserk.This man... is the ultimate human being that definites of never going down, keep going and overcoming all things in his path to his life. Seriously... no one can be great as Guts.
Because... he carrys a 120 pound stab of iron sword and swing it with ease and is NOT be mess with. He also, shows all of best and worse emotions that makes him human that we all had. Happiness, sorrow, anger, rage, revenge, betrayed, love, hope, sadness, fear, joy, careless, determination, rebel, lonliness, companied, and
insane and sane. He definites all of us that we can be alittle like him and go on with our lifes. Look at what he through. Having no mother, no father, having his friends killed in the ecilipse, wandering for 2 years to find his love Caska, having no sleep every night because of evil spirits and monsters and demons, being betrayed because of a damn castle, being a wandering sacrifice for the rest of his life, killing and defeating apostles and maybe even defeating part of hell itself! Through I like Hellsing, Bleach
(Now it sucks), One Piece, FMA, DBZ, Hokuto No Ken, Vinland Sagas, Avatar the Last Airbender, Devilman, Mao Dante, Gundam, Higurashi, Umineko, and all of the other great manga and anime, Berserk is the ultimate one. Guts is the defintion of being human and overcoming all odds and finding peace at the end. (If Berserk gets finished before Miura dies at 100 or 98.) Hell, I won't be surprised if Guts' father is Jesus Christ Himself and grandson of God Himself. Alucard might cry some tears if he see Guts' life.
Yandere girls might break down in tears if Guts tell his story to them. Other gods like Odin, Greek, Roman, Norse, Eygptian, and many others might called him "Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven all together in a human body."
Villains of comedy, pure evil, and others might all be shocked, in tears, in symphanty with Guts, looking to their life and comparing Guts to theirs, or just loving him of what he is. Even dead souls might do the same thing as the villains like Michael Jackson, Alfred Hitchcock, Vincent Price, Al Capone, and Even Hitler himself will be thinking of their lifes that are very similar like MJ, Alfred, and Vincent and seeing what fools are they like Al Capone and Hilter.
Sailor Moon and Scouts will be in tears of sorrow and in joy because how they are human and glad to be alive and defeated the forces of darkness no matter what like Guts did. Ichigo from Bleach might take advice from the morales of Berserk and be badass but not as badass as Guts, Ichigo can have his own badass ways of getting on with his life. Like from my What If... Cracked Pair, Boa Hancock might be in love with the right man and that's Guts' clone,
Guts II. (See What If... Cracked Pair to find out).
Edward might take advice from Berserk's morales as well.
Goku might decided to find a way to defeated future foes in one episode from Berserk or in minutes. Kenshiro might praise Guts for his bravery and his sense of Justice. Thorfinn might see Guts in the future in his time and might find out be Odin's great-grandson and Thor's grandson like Guts' father, Jesus Christ and grandfather, GOD!! Aang or/and might also take advice from Berserk's morales. Akira might be shocked if he read Berserk. Ryo Utsugi from Mao Dante will be shocked too if he read Berserk. Every main character from Gundam will be shocked if they read Berserk and might take Berserk's morales and praise it.
Higurashi's main characters might break down and see what they done and want to make their life better for themselfs. Hell, even Beatrice might want to make her life better by being more human instead of a demonic witch.
And ALL of the other great manga and anime might take Berserk's morales and praise it all because they asked themselves, "What is it like to be human?"
One More THING..... If Guts will be tell his story, he will draw his story in manga form and have the same style as Muira and be written and drawing his story. But... Guts might live forever and Miura might die. So Guts' story from Guts himself will never be finished as long as Guts live. Muira has 60% of Berserk finished, so Berserk will be finished.
In Colculsion, this story, Berserk..... is ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, NO HOLDS BARRED, BALLS FLATTTT OUT, WELL WRITTEN, WELL DRAWN, EMOTIONAL, POWERFUL, WONDERFUL, BETTER THAN SEX OR LOTR, AND EXELLENCT STORY EVER WRITTEN IN HISTORY AND THE UNIVERSE!!!
READ IT!!!!!!!! YOU WILL BE EVER CHANGED!!!!

Except, he can't defeat any of villains nor heroes from Jojo's Bizarre Adventyure.
Especially in part 5, where Giorno Giovanna upgrades his Gold Experience to Gold Experience Requiem, that resets any attack that can harm him to zero. automatically.
Just read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Jojo is the best manga ever.

Perfect man! Berserk is the story of humanity. It's about the very best and the absolute worse of what it means to be a member of the human race. It's a story that ounce you start ti read it doesn't beg or even demand your attention: it simply has it in the palm of it's hand, forcing you to keep reading and reading till you get to that final page of that latest chapter. It is a story that can't just be boiled down to a battle of good versus evil and it's characters labeled as archetypes or stereotypes and to do so is an insult to the art of story telling. While good and evil are present, there is just so much more to it. It is the feelings and motives that drives people to do these things, both good and evil.
Things like ambition, pain, greed, rage, lust, love, fear, desperation, betrayal, joy, sorrow and all the glorious and horrible emotions and motives in between. Guts is a man, that and only that, whose life from BIRTH itself was a hell to survive and when he finally found something that made him feel right, something that honest to God made him feel accepted and even loved, it was taken away from him in a mass of blood and gore and tears. And to add even more to it was that the one who took it all away was the one person who he looked up to. The one person he considered his first and perhaps his best friend was the one who sacrificed the world he had come to known and sent him on this seemingly unending road to vengeance.
The monsters that Guts kills on this vendetta are still more then just beasts: they are people who gave up, or at least tried to, their humanity in order to became something more but even then they still have ties to the world of humanity then they just can't remove or cut showing that these aren't just soulless beings: even when they are at their most monstrous and vile, they are still human. With each kill, Guts himself is at threat of becoming something similar to, in some cases something worse then, some of the other monsters that stained his blade.
AsΒ Friedrich Nietzsche once said,Β "Battle not with monsters lest ye become a monster; and if you gaze into the abyss the abyss gazes into you." And this is evident in this story. When you read it, it will take and do something horrible yet wonderful to you: It will make you feel. You will feel anger, you will feel sadness, bitterness, sorrow, disgust,Β fearΒ and even hatred...yet, moments...precious moments will have you smiling, you may even chuckle to yourself, as you feel joy, cheerfulness and even maybeΒ happiness.
This is more then just a manga series, it is anΒ experience. AnΒ experience that everyone should go through, even those who don't even like anime or manga, should read pick this up. Naruto is a manga, Bleach is a manga, EVERYTHING ELSE...is a manga. Berserk...however....is something else. Something greater, it being a manga is just a medium for it to exist in our world.Β Β

To me Guts is a man, not a son of some celestial being from heaven or hell. He is a man who has experienced a hell like non other, a life that time could never hope to repeat. He knows what is right and what is wrong, and rarely ever makes a mistake between the two. He is unafraid to kill unlike other heroes and shows no remorse after it, because he kills those who have it coming. People can first judge him as a villain due to his attitude and way of life, while others look to Griffith as the hero (look how that turned out). Though he never cares, he has a goal to kill all demons that stand in his way and to kill the God Hand, which standing before an army of demons couldn't even hope to stop him from achieving. Guts is the one who will not let the passage of time stop him from ending those who have wronged him and others he cares for. He isΒ the Berserker, and if you earn his wrath. It wouldn't matter if you are human,Β demon, angel, immortal or a god, he will kill you. If evil has a door, Guts is the one who doesn't knock, he just kicks the door down.

Thank you, but I am not one to be praised. I simply stated how I saw Guts and his overall being. Praise Kentaro Miura for creating such a character and a series, for baring with the years of wrongful criticisms and hate and for sticking with the series. I feel he is the GRRM of manga, if I may be so bold to make such a statement. Though there are times one may doubt with the direction and length of time, I hold steadfast that we will see this series finished, and it will be in such a way that only Berserk could do once. It is a shame that as a whole, Guts, Berserk, Miura, aren't as hailed as other series (movies, books, etc.). A real damn shame. A side note, Guts has been my only hero for years and that is least likely to change for most of my life. If I ever met Miura, I'd like to thank him for making such a character, Guts has been the inspiration for me to keep moving on in this world. I believe most here know of Susumu Hirasawa (if not, how have you heard of Berserk but not the mighty song that features in the anime "Forces"?), I make reference to this artist because Guts made me want to "Take the Wheel" on my life, my destiny. Wherever I may roam, good or bad, I will be the one to run myself.

Well. That was a very awe inspiring comment my good sir. and I happened upon Berserk on a Local store with the first issue. I bought it and read it. Was not a waste by any means. And I happened upon "Take The Wheel" before "Forces". I love them both and I think that "Forces" is the better of the two while in my personal preference "Take the Wheel" stands out more for me for personal reasons and obvious one. Susumu is a genius of a composer and I hope Berserk gets another damn good anime and maybe even a game because GOD there's NO better series than Berserk.

A fun fact concerning Susumu Hirasawa and his connection to Berserk. Kentaro, when he was approached with the offer to make the Golden Age Arc of Berserk into an anime, his first and ultimate choice was Hirasawa, as Kentaro usually listened to his music when he worked on Berserk. Hirasawa, when learning about Berserk, found the series as a whole more free to work with due to its elements, and so that is why we have such great pieces of music that come with Berserk. Getting past that topic, Berserk really does need another anime again, because, and this is just personal preference, the movies don't cut it for me. While I am glad that Berserk was adapted into an anime movie format, it still cuts away a lot of the detail of Berserk, as even the small moments within the series can have big relevance. However I do hold some fears concerning another Berserk anime. One of my main fears concerns the kind of studio that may pick up the license for another Berserk anime. Like the old saying goes, "If its gotta be directed, its gotta be directed right", and depending if a shit studio picks up the license, half of the series could be cut in the favor of budget and etc. Another fear of mine, which plays into my previous example, is the censorship laws. A series like Terraformars, when it aired, was heavily censored due to the amount of gore that lied within the series itself. Though this amount of gore, again in my opinion, is nothing compared to the amount of pure malice which the gore in Berserk brings. Again, cutting away detail that is needed for a series like Berserk. However, if the exact opposite of these fears were to happen, the series could be quite big again, if it is all handled correctly. Hell, it may even make Kentaro want to start releasing the series on a weekly basis again. God.. how many years has it been since something like that happened to the series lol.Β

If an anime can't be done then bloody hell a game on last gen or even the current one would do it some bloody justice!! Berserk is amazing and I am watching the original anime and it's grand. I also, on a side note, dislike Puck.

Lol Puck does have his moments. I wouldn't mind another Berserk game, given the last one I played was during the game (or dream?) cast days lol. Though from a gamer perspective, with how the gaming community is now'en days, I'm not sure how well a Berserk game would sell. It might do moderately good in Japan, given medieval topics are more accepted now, though whether it would do well in the states.. that's really up to how its handled. Dark Souls was an obvious hit, with most of the game being an influence from Berserk, however there lies a problem. If a Berserk game were to come out, and be advertised well, how many people do you think would see Berserk as a rip off of Dark Souls? I mean not everyone knows about Berserk, or even Dark Souls relation to it. I'm not trying to put down another Berserk game, because I want one just as much as the next fan, but there feels like there's going to be a wall of ignorance from the generalized gaming community if the game were to come out. What do you think would happen if another Berserk game were to come out?Β

Yes, there are tons of dumbasses or entitled people who'd call a Berserk Game a rip off of DkS and those dumbasses will get done on an Eclipse.
I think people would bitch about it being like Dark Souls but thing is. Berserk has a much better story DkS could ever have. And Guts is the most unique protag I ever met. There's no comparing or saying he's like any of the protags of nowadays. Guts is unique. And I think that if another game under Berserk Title would do well. Because Berserk is a great series and the game would probably be handled well. Since it is a good series and they could do the combat like they did on the PS2 game. Which was good and tons of fun. If not a next or old gen game a new anime would be great.Β

Berserk is one of the few things to move me. I can only hope that Muira can live long enough to have Gutts execute Griffith in the most brutal fashion possible. And have Gutts and Casca's child return and Casca return to sanity. Not gonna happen I know, but a man can hope.

I suppose whether Guts can succeed or not comes down to whether he can reliably immobilise Wolverine (e.g. through impaling him with something). He can't cut through Wolverine's adamantium skeleton, but he probably could break his joints, since it's only enforced with muscle tissue. Owing to Berserk Guts' enhanced speed and strength compared to Wolverine's mortal strength, he could probably break Wolverine's limbs to temporarily immobilise him, then pin him up somewhere with a bunch of spears/crossbow bolts/swords/sharp branches.
Afterwards maybe Guts'll just wait until night for the demons to eat Logan. Might be difficult for him to regenerate after his flesh has been completely stripped from his adamantium skeleton, and even if he did, he'd come back with a normal skeleton and be severely nerfed for round 2.

I think that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is the best manga.
It's even older than Berserk, and still goes around up this day.Β
And art style in Jojo is way better, especially from part 4 and especially from part 7.
