...seriously, I really can't think of a title. What am I doing up at these ungodly hours? I'm going to die at work tomorrow, nay, this morning. Will think of a better title while slumming through cups of coffee in efforts to keep self sufficiently caffeinated enough to do decent work later.Lovely texture ganked with love from ~kittonstock who has a great collection of texshturesssssss
edit: ~JasmineLeilani left an interesting comment about Hawaiian Goddesses, and the SUN and all of a sudden I thought: yeah, let's make that sun out there STAND OUT. It'll balance the empty space on top and maybe give the impression that it looks really cool and all, whoah-like.
Or not. I had very little sleep and too much editing to do at work to day XD so this may look even more pootz than the original and I wouldn't know! I've placed the original one in Scrap if you wanna compare and all that.

This piece was originally a random sketch in my notebook. I didn't really know the direction I was going for it till I worked on it digitally and decided to incorporate a batik-like element for the flowers, and pull focus onto the girl by putting all these graphic elements pointing towards her. In the end she sorta look like some .. sea goddess or something, I don't know XD Gawd, I'm so bad at explaining this! I'm sorry! I do hope you get what I'm trying to say though.

I looooooove this!! It's a mix of japanese/hawaiian/awesomeness. lol. the colors are great, and the textures are fantastic-they really carry the piece, although the flower behind her head can be a little distracting.

funny thing is that i wasn't conciously drawing hibiscus, just that i know it's flowers, but since I like hibiscus (my mom used to plant rows and rows of em!) I end up drawing them anyway, without me realising that.

Fantastic ballance of colors. Maybe you can't think of a tittle but she looks like she's thinking of Hibiscus flowers!
Maybe "Hibiscus".
It kind of reminds me of the Hawaiian Goddess sisters, Pele the goddess of Fire and her sister the Ocean Goddess Na-maka-o-ka-hai.
They were bitter enemies, but the balance of the fire and the water and the Hibiscus like flower and the Sun reminds me of all that
