Description
This was done for a SasuSaku fanart contest. The idea had to be inspired by "first...." So I chose to do first reunion. Draw your own conclusions ^_^ Characters are (c) the creators of Naruto!

I also wrote a little something to go with it:

"I hope everyone is alright," Sakura thought to herself, she had split up with her teammate afew hours ago, and now it was getting dark. She hadn't found anything, not a single sign of Sasuke anywhere. "I wonder if anyone else has found him....or Orochimaru..." lost in her thoughts she continued searching through the dense woods, when she came across a red bridge that crossed a fairly wide river. "This is a good sign," she thought to herself, "this means people must travel through here often, which means it might lead to Sasuke!" After checking around for any possible traps, Sakura crept down and began to cross the bridge. The the mist from the river was refreshing. She neared the middle of the bridge when she felt a tug on the ribbon of her head protector.

"It's been a long time....Sakura," a strong voice came from behind her.

"That voice....." she thought as the words echoed inside her head. It may have been almost 3 years since she had heard it, and even with the deeper mature tone, she recognized it immediately. "Sasuke-kun."

"Hehe" he chuckled to himself.

She wanted to badly to turn around, fall into his arms and weep for joy...but then she thought about how she had no way of knowing if Sasuke was here to embrace her, or dispose of her. And by turning around she would only make herself vulnerable to the Sharingan. It was the longest moment of her life, and as the mist began to envelope the two of them, all she could do was tell herself, "be Strong, Sakura."
