Try to paint a rainbow. I think it must be the hardest thing to paint. It's there, but it's transparent and seems to take on some of the color of its surroundings.

Kuddos for even trying it. As for perspective, I usually see "naturally accruing" rainbows with a storm cloud backdrop.
