Description
Fliptide (green icons)
- Overview: Fliptide's a city (though quite a bit smaller than Artisan City) located on a beach! They're hangin' out on the biggest body of water you've ever seen, bud B ) (Keke call it an ocean, but...it ain't). Has a general fun-loving attitude about the place and sees a lot of traffic as it miiiight kinda be a bit of a tourist trap. As they're near a desert, temperatures are usually quite high
- 1: Scout tower: A tall tower built to house scouts while they survey the area. They're chill though, don't worry about it B ) They're generally the first thing you see when coming into town (if you took the main road) and can give you all the directions because they've been dealing with this bro, don't even worry about it
- 2: Information center: A building boasting about Fliptide's origins, local wildlife, and what the place has to offer. Residents usually use the place as a sort of news board as well
- 3: Nursery: A cheerful and relaxed nursery of average size with an outdoor egg pond. Hatchlings are commonly seen playing on the roof. Or any roof, for that matter
NPC: Maple - 4: Spa: A humble little building decorated with sea glass with heated pools and that kind of fun stuff if you're not about the more crowded shore
- 5: Guardian Shelter: Fliptide has your usual imposing guardian building, but most of the keke inside tend to be bored most of the time... It's pretty lax around here with petty theft and stupidity being the main cause of problems
- 6: Healer: The doctors for the city. While some healers stay inside and run the place, you're likely to find half of them out on the beach in case travelers...do something stupid while they're here...
- 7: Crosshatch Inn: The ~spiffiest~ place to stay if you're here for a visit! Crosshatch loves to brag about its view of the shoreline. They keep the place spotless and provide a surprising amount of jobs for the area
- 8: Beach-side shops: Welcome to tourist trap lane! There are other shops speckled around the city, but these few have claimed the envied spot on the path leading to the beach. They totally overplay the vacation vibe and tend to sell weird stuff for...like way too much
- 9: Art gallery: As the focal point tends to be elsewhere, the gallery's a bit small. Still, it's there! They an't quite...process all the sandcastles and other beach art that tends to be done, but they hold what they can
- 10: Schoolhouse: Humble little school where the teachers tend to wish it was built a bit further back from the water... Kids tend to be easily distracted by the fun stuff outside, so they often have their windows closed
NPC: Jen - 11: Back Bone: The area's research center in charge of nature research and processing scout reports to track predator movement (if there...is any). They usually offer to teach visiting keke about shells and the water life
- 12: Barn: Home to the "domestic" animals. While Fliptide keeps critters around for the products they provide, they also have a little petting zoo with some extra friendly animals due to being desensitized from all the visitors
- 13: Orchard: Neat rows of trees grown to produce food for the city
- 14: Bridge: A sturdy bridge connecting Fliptide to Villa Isle (if you don't want to swim or slither across the water)
- 15: Homes: Most houses are colorful to keep the cheerful vibe. Many keke offer up space for those just visiting for a couple days while other houses sit empty to be rented out fully
Villa Isle (blue icons)
- Overview: Villa Isle takes a much more relaxed approach to the water than Fliptide does... Residents on the little bit of land tend to prefer peace and quiet, just enjoying the view. Part of the underwater buildings created by the local Elvers are lumped into their territory, but they tend to be much more rambunctious... Thankfully, this means they prefer pestering Fliptide instead of those just trying to get some sunbathing in
- 1: Community center: The center of meetings, events, classes, and whatever else you want. As it's one of the first things across the bridge, the center gets a bit more traffic. Because of this, they usually are doing something most of the time
- 2: Archive: And archive for art made my citizens. While the building takes older pieces from Fliptide's art gallery for storage, it also functions as a tiny art center just for Villa Isle
- 3: Egg House: The Elvers seem to quite enjoy the fact that most keke eggs hatch in water. They offer to take resident's eggs down here to soak if they want. And they totally don't geek over them while they do. Don't worry about it. In addition, the keke that run the place also teach kiddos to swim better and faster : )
- 4: Submerged Library: A stone-roofed building that transfers delicate paper information into waterproofed stuff for the Elvers to read. It's dedicated to storing information already transferred as well as transcribing new books and the like
- 5: Sea nest: A large bundle of plant life nestled atop a strange stone slab that is where Elvers place their own eggs. Recently, it's been discovered that they built their nest right on top of the ruins of some ancient temple hallway thing! They patched up the initial hole and dug out a different one for those who'd like to visit the mysterious relic
- 6: Paint pool: This building is sort of an underwater recreation center, but is named after a favorite activity of the local kids themed around closing Elvers in a room where paints have been blobbed into the water. By swimming and swirling around, the kiddos can form a roomful of art akin to finger-painting
- 7: Noodle Park: An area of lush water life atop the same rise where the underwater part of Villa Isle is located. Past it, the ground starts to drop off into a submerged valley. The park gives a nice view of the place as well as an area to relax
- 8: Elver Tunnels: A series of underwater tunnels, some of which lead off to other bodies of water. Some were naturally formed, others were dug by the Elvers living in the area
