Description
The Scarlet-Beaked Nillbird is a raptor that prefers to feed on cold-blooded reptiles, amphibians, and fish. Thankfully, they aren't interested in Snakekeys due to the chance they could be warm-blooded, though some of those kids with the lizard leggies can get them confused sometimes... Just scream at 'em, that should freak them out. In place of legs, they have a long, prehensile tail that they use to curl around trees and branches. Grabbing is done with the two-toed talons tucked away on the underarms of their wings. Eyes are towards the front of their head to make them more effective predators (which also makes them look...kinda freaky). Also have slit pupils and two, long feathery ears. They spend most of their time in trees or in flight and are rarely seen on the ground, as they're the most vulnerable down there. Plumage is a light brown or fawn color with darker tick marks. The tip of the beak and the eyes are a deep red color
