Description

A rodent found in forested areas, as they make their dens among the roots of trees and bushes. Live in colonies that have no clear size limit. Dens may span miles as a result. Peaceful to most creatures and will instantly accept one of their own kind. Covered in thick fur of black, orange, and/or white. All markings come in patchy shapes. Skin is orange as well and eyes are dark brown. Their pups are so fluffy they often have trouble walking. Instead, adults will roll them along by nudging them with their noses. Upon reaching maturity, a skibble will begin to develop a bulb on its back. These were believed to be eggs and, although disproven, are still called such. Instead, the growth is a decoy. When fleeing from predators, the egg will detach in hopes of distracting the attacker with an easier source of food. These are edible, taste like boiled egg yolk with pistachios, and regrow within a week. Because of this, skibbles are a common farm critter or scavenging target
