I drew the line art [link] by hand etc... and then toyed around with colours and textures for a while and this is what resulted. A bit of an experiment.

I like it... reminds me of a book I read as a child about a girl who fell asleep on her patchwork quilt... in her dreams the quilt turned into a world to explore-with a forrest-a circus-train tracks...

i really love both versions, the only problem i see is that in the color version ,the littel men get's lost. i did not see the one in the background till i saw the inked version .not sure how to make him pop out more .but then agine its sort of cool that he is hidden so well its loke a littel secret between thouse who take the time to look at it .
