EDIT: I digitally edited this pic a bit, like I'd been planning to for a while, and I'm much happier with the image. I made the background a blue/grey to add more depth and softened and lightened the image around the girl.ALSO now the updated version is available for purchase as a print!
A picture! Nice doing some more collage, but I am relatively un-pleased with the results of this.. it needs some more oomph! (?)
Considering adding... some depth or something in photoshop, but not really sure just now... what do you think?

The trees in the main foreground could be darkened to near-silhouettes, and the part you made blue could be made a more intense blue.... Hm. Some shading on the ground, also. Lighter around the girl, darker elsewhere. (Am I making sense?).

I didn't want the definition between foreground an background to be THAT intense (i.e. with the silhouette trees in the front and the intense blue behind)
Before there was almost no distinction at all and I didn't like that, but I also wanted the the image to remain fairly subdued without TOO much contrast, So I'm pretty happy with what I've got now.. I did lighten around the girl a little, an yeah I agree, it could maybe do with a little shading on the ground...

Wonderful! about the oomph though..... maybe brighter colours on her dress? make her pop more, perhaps more colour around the base of the trees or darker shading in the background? I don't know

I'm pretty happy with how it is now, I didn't want too much light and brightness on her, just to separate her from the background a little, which I feel I've done now. The original her dress is brighter, but I like it slightly muted..

Aww, is a lovely work!! I really like the idea and the girl!
Maybe if you play with the colors around the girl you could "frame" her and the little plants, that could help to make her stand out a bit more

I love the lines in all the trees. Some depth might help it a bit, or a way to make the character stand out a bit more

Maybe the sky should be darker than the ground? Kind of the greyish-brown color of the background trees?

Hmm. Maybe a little purple. Idk. I think a darker color would look nice, because it would be a dark creepy forest full of dead trees, but then a little innocent girl is planting some hope

In my opinion it is perfect this way; probably what I like the most of your illustrations is the fact that you don't even need to give them the feeling of depth, they are perfectly understandable and lovable the way they are :3 (messy english, I'm sorry T_T )

I know what you mean, I prefer not adding anything or editing traditional stuff... but this doesn't have the feel I wanted..
I know it's easy to UNDERSTAND, but it doesn't pop, not like some others I feel do...

I think it's fine like this, because it generates a nice, soft feeling. If you wanted to give it more "oomph", you could try making the trees brighter and make them stand out more with more shading. Personally, though, I think it's really pretty!
