Ahaha, nice one. Looks like that uni work is paying off, huh.
I understand that you are not satisfied with you current level of artistry. I feel the same way too of course. It's like, I draw some thing that I think looks nice, but then I look at what someone else has done and I think how I'm going to make any sort of career with something that looks like what I just finished. Reality's screwing everything up now and I-as you are as well-am striving to become better. I could see you getting a career no problem at your current stage and I think I should'nt be worrying to much, since I do still have about two years to go until my abilities will really be put to the test. Most every summer, I've sat at home reaching the next dungeon, or getting further in my games and sleeping, but I want to become better so much that I am starting to think of ways to spend my time. Wanting to drawing everything I see that interests me just for practice, discovering that I suck at drawing jeans. I know that all of this is not for nothing. To you I say: Keep workin'; you WILL get somewhere. If this Bowser drawing shows anything, it's just that. When it comes to improvement, in some cases, slow is good. When I discovered that I could draw a decent looking muscular arm, I was surprised. So keep workin' at it Hanny. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw an ultra realistic bowser from you sometime in the future.

Well, ultra realism isn't always the best option either, plenty of artists have beautiful art work that isn't realistic after all. At any rate, I think you're doing okay with your art, and practice will make perfect if you want it to (that's what I keep telling myself anyways XD). In my opinion, what makes artists stand out is their individuality and style, I spent too long trying to deny my own style, which is naturally cartoony.

Lol this is the seriously most....*looks for none offensive word*.....creepy?? version of Bowser i have ever seen.
But i guess it gave you practise and while the actual art isnt to my taste the colouring is much cool. *thumbs up* for improvement there.
