Anther sketch for that tumblr character meme I've been hooked on, this time featuring Taru!She's been deep in the development processes lately, so I'm excited to be giving her more attention. I'm sure her physical appearance might still undergo some tweaking in the near future, but her personality is almost completely solidified.
She's the somewhat naive but helpful river spirit that Amaranth and co. run into early in their travels whose domain has been ravaged by war. She makes the sacrifice to leave her beloved river basin in order to be the group's healer and assist them in their journey to convince the gods to spare humanity and restore some semblance of order to both Fein and Tor. She's remarkable in that it's very uncommon for a minor spirit to wander away from their domain, but her inquisitive and curious nature tends to overpower any hesitance she initially had.

I like her design; you rarely see Native Americans in most work of fiction as the focus unless they are Aztecs, Mayans, Lakota, Apache, Inuit, Algonquin, and Powhatan. I sometimes wonder are there any full- blooded Native Americans in the America's before the Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, and Dutch colonized the land.

I really love this character design, and it's not because of her thighs. They are appealing, but that's not what captivates me about this: the way she's designed is flawlessly well made. I really like the background you used as well: very traditional Native American, and I mean before the age of when white settlers came in. I also loved your description of her, it's very well thought of; you made a story of her life in a simple, yet well planned paragraph. I'd like to see more of her-again, not because of her body, even though she quite attractive-because I'm interested to read more about here life adventures, such as what you mentioned: what exactly did she do to sacrifice for the better lives of her people, and how that affected her, for better or for worse. Really, I love this because I have a great amount of respect to Native Americans, or The First People as they call themselves; how they lived, treating the world they lived in and depended on with the utmost respect and caring, as well as the animals they hunted. Blessing their spirits to "walk free" as they were thankful for them giving their lives for their survival. Overall, very well done, I loved it, and I hope to see more.
