Description
Yeah, yeah, I know. They'd rattle around in the jar and Pinkie forgot to poke airholes in it and yadda yadda. Still a better plan with a few preparations. My Little Pony is copyright to Hasbro.

I don't think Twilight can actually science, and Pinkie is part of my proof of the matter.

You know the jar thing would make a lot more sense than turn them to breezies Β
I remember someone has compared the breezies going to Equestria to humans going to space or other dangerous place, because it was a needed trip and was dangerous. Well, we are smart enough to use a vessel of some sort(like a ship or a submarine) or build a safe path(like a tunnel) seems like the breezies didn't have figured that yet Β

Fer cryin' out loud, all they had to do was hold on to Fluttershy and they'd have gotten there ahead of the rest of the group...!
But, NNOoooo...
Gotta have all this drama...will they make it in time? Will Flutts get all rainbow-y and get a key to the "Magic Power of Rainbows" box?
Will Twilights's spell actually work this time, and everyone get back to normal, or will Flutts have 'funny wings' AND fangs now?
Cripes...just do a Derpy origin story, already...

Haha, that's funny!
You made this comic, because you find Twilight's solution unlogical, but her last sentence in this comic does explain, why she turned herself and the other into breezies, instead of thinking out another way to get them home:
Because science.
She simply wanted to see the world of the breezies, that was an opportunity she couldn't resist.
That decision fit's quite well to her character.

Pinkie: "I know! Why don't you just teleport us there Twilight? The Breezies need magic, and nothing's more magical than you!"
Twilight: "Oh that Pinkie Pie, spewing all those SILLY ideas from her SILLY face. Come on girls! We've got over a thousand miles to travel in one day; let's shrink ourselves!"
RD: "Awesome!"
AJ: "Sounds like a plan."
Rarity: "Genius!"
Flutters: "You're so smart Twilight."
Pinkie: "... Really?"

while funnyΒ i like to point out two things (Quoting coolclaytony)
Actually, Twilights plan really was the best option. The Breezies needed the breeze to keep their magic working, which keepsΒ the pollen their carrying from going bad during their glide home. The mane 6 becoming breezies created a sturdier flight formation, which in turnΒ allowed the weather team to make a stronger breeze to them home faster.
plus twilight might have noΒ bloody idea where the spot truly is.

Mephitinae In reply to Ghidorafour [2014-03-04 15:39:43 +0000 UTC]
If the pollen didn't go bad in Fluttershy's cottage, there's no feasible explanation as to why it would go bad in a jar or a saddle bag.
The ponies had to have a general idea where the spot was since they were the ones directing the breeze in the first place.

DabKilm In reply to Mephitinae [2014-03-04 18:13:09 +0000 UTC]
The whole thing doesn't make sense to me as the point of pollen in the first place was a way for plants to spread their male gametes without them dying. Β Pollen doesn't go bad.

If the pollen didn't go bad in Fluttershy's cottage, there's no feasible explanation as to why it would go bad in a jar or a saddle bag. OH yes, cause frankly they weren't in a forested area where they can get new pollen and again the breezie magic use the breeze to keep the pollen good. which mean a good constant helps. no breeze from a jar or teleportation screws it up
Guys, let's not forget, it is a show for kids 6-11, it's been like this from the beginning, still is and hopefully remains that way. Ever since the fandom, hasbro animation studios have added a few scenes in the show as a subtle nods that only fans will notice, but that's all there is.
Just remember, you're watching "My Little PonyΒ : Friendship Is Magic" not some intricate, state-of-the-art media full of plot twists, extremely profound character development and grand, epic synopsis.ο»Ώ It's a cartoon with above average plotlines, character personalities and animation.Β
Overall, I think it's safe to say hasbro has done season 4 quite smoothly imho, I thought all the episodes were fine, some I liked better than others.

Mephitinae In reply to Ghidorafour [2014-03-04 19:36:11 +0000 UTC]
Nods or memes add nothing of value to the show. The hook was always quality writing and acting.Β
I agree that season 4 has had some nice episodes, but "guys, it's just for kids" is a weak excuse for plot holes.

Ghidorafour In reply to Mephitinae [2014-03-04 20:06:29 +0000 UTC]
no offense but that an excuse for poor writing but this is not poor writing plus to be fair, that's how a lot of season one's episodes ended as well.

JojoDaggerback In reply to Ghidorafour [2016-08-13 18:10:12 +0000 UTC]
Like with "bird in a hoof", when the whole issue in the episode wouldn't have happened if Twilight knew that her mentor and ruler of Equestria for a 1000 years had a Phoenix pet.
Plot holes are in the show since the begining, Celestia used the elements to banish her sister to the moon intead of using the same elements to turn her back to Luna for example. But it is not an excuse, they had a lot of time to write and they are writers they should know how to make stories without contradictions or obvious plot holes.
