Adventure Time’s fourth season brings an ending of an era, as it is the last season of the series’ childhood era. But being the show’s end of being focused on primarily fun and wacky adventures, Season 4 became the most consistent season of the series so far.
Despite having some decent episodes, Season 4 brought the most enjoyable episodes I’ve seen from the series so far, even if the third season had the better episodes on its belt. It brings a better balance between episodic adventures and episodes that either continue previous storylines or sets up future storylines. On top of that, we got a relationship with Finn and Flame Princess back that was still sweet and wholesome.

This is a well-rounded season of the show, and it is a fitting farewell to the show’s early plights of adventures as it transitions to the show we now all know and love.
