Just because I noticed some people keep annoying some people about them hiding comments on their pages and making stupid assumptions about them like "you're asshurt because you have not the balls to show them".Sure, is true it could be irritating when someone hide comments that aren't especially heartwarming for them, but after all is their decision what they keep visible to public on their pages. Also, there are situations where hiding comments is justifiable.

Most of my hidden comments are from people bitching about a stamp on my main page, or my signature. It gets a little old seeing the same thing (even though some are funny), so I hide them so other people really don't have to see them either.
Other hidden comments are from personal things, like when someone asks me to hide the comment.

I mostly see hidden comments on pages of art theives being called out on stealing, so whenever I see a large amount of them I get curious, but I wouldn't invade someones business about them. dA made that option for a reason - for people to keep things only their business.

Art thieves and their friends also use it to harass you for calling them out. When they have dozens of people saying shit about you and you're race and committing hate crimes you don't want to leave that shit up.

All my hidden/flagged comments comments are just people thanking me for faves. As long as your not (ab)using it to censor legitimate (constructive)criticism and opinions, it's fine to use it.
