I did't grow any tomatoes this year because of the water shortage here, this is an old picture.

I didn't grow any either... they just grew from what was left fro last year... I never pulled mine last year... because of the surgeries on my knees so they just regrew by themselves

Nice! have you ever tried growing tomatillos or green tomatoes? My wife planted a couple
of plants last summer, and the little green tomato grows within a lantern-like loose skin...but she
made the most delicious salsa....very flavorful, and you can add serano chili to your liking. My wife
is Mexican and knows about these things.
My mom, long ago, had several regular tomato plants in her garden, and those tomatoes
tasted LIKE tomatoes should. Not like the cardboard we're forced to buy in the stores....

I lived in Alabama once and there they fried green tomatoes, they were delicious.
I love Mexican food, you are lucky!

Truly unbelievable your droughts for the last four years.
I'm sorry. And so expensive to live on the west coast. We see all the
videos of big houses being burned to the ground in CA. We're reaping
what we've sowed, for so many decades. Best of luck to you Liisa....

Fortunately I live in a coastal area, where we get enough moisture, so the fires are no threat!
We just live day by day, we have the best climate, around 70 degrees around the year!
