She needs to give up on Naruto? Why? Because he's actually starting to show some interest in her since she Confessed? Why must Hinata give up Naruto, but Naruto can't give up Sakura? Just because he's the main hero and gets what he wants? Read the latest chapter. He doesn't want Sakura. He wants Sakura to be with Sasuke. I'm not saying you can't like NaruSaku... I, in some respects, see some value NaruSaku. What I AM saying however, is don't try to self-insert your own opinions/ideas/wants onto a character and call it fact when it clearly is not. That's all I'm saying. Did you fail to read 559 where not only does he take the time to cheer her up, but fondly thinks of how she saved him (and consequently her Confession)? Or 611 where Kiba teases him about the whole affair 559 he doesn't even flinch or deny it at all? Or 615 where he thanks her for all she's done for him? Or the chapter where he practically races out of the safety of Sasuke's Susano'o to rescue Hinata from the danger he innate could feel that she was in?

Naruto certainly is showing a lot of care for a character which many of you guys claim is irrelevant.

No he doesn't, he has never gone beyond the whole "Pretty girl that I like", to do any sort of serious pursuit of her. Beyond asking her out a few times (which she declines all but once, where it ends up all about Sasuke anyway), and making stupid comments to others about their relationship (only to be debunked a chapter, or less later), he has made zero effort in endearing himself to Sakura on a romantic level. Pluse you ought to read the latest chapter. He clearly supports Sakura being with Sasuke, as does Kakashi and Hagaromo.

I'm pretty sure the reason he never really confessed to her or you know make a move on her was because he felt as if he didn't have the right to do so, ya know? this was due to the fact that he wasn't able to bring sasuke back to konoha. I'm pretty sure kakashi doesn't want sakura to be in an abusive relationship with sasuke and hagaromo just came in recently so he really has no say in this. and of course naruto will support sakura, he isn't selfish in his love for her and wants her happiness and if she finds it with sasuke or any other guy for that matter then he will support them.

Obviously you skipped the Land of Iron Arc, where he makes it fully clear that his pursuit of Sasuke has more to do with his own personal reasons, than it has to with the PoaL. Besides it is Sakura who makes it quite clear that she STILL loves Sasuke. No... Naruto wouldn't support her 'happiness' with just any other guy... because he just happens to be an 'any other guy'... and he rejected the opportunity to be such a guy. Naruto KNOWS full well that Sakura will only truly be happy with Sasuke... It is exactly for this reason that he's called out Sasuke's BS every time that he slings it about since his return. Naruto knows that deep within Sasuke, is a kind child, but a broken one as well. He is fighting to save his friend from himself, because he KNOWS that the true Sasuke is still in him... it's just being swallowed and overshadowed by the dark Sasuke. (Much like how Dark Naruto tended to influence real Naruto).

I didn't skip the land of iron arc, the recent chapters confirmed that the promise he made to sakura still has value to him and is one of the reasons he chases after him so I was correct in what I said. I'm pretty sure naruto did not reject or accept the opportunity to be her lover as he did not have the time to with all the stuff that happened. 

No, I'm pretty sure naruto doesn't think that, we have no evidence that supports that he does think this way but we do have evidence that naruto acknowledges the fact that she love(d??) him. and the latest chapters shows that Sakura's feelings might have changed into platonic ones (there is confusion over the translations).

and calling out on Sakura's rude behavior and stabbing her right through the chest multiple times in a genjutsu are not the same thing. letting her fall into a pit of lava and being extremely rude on her by calling her useless all points to the fact the fact that he doesn't care about her and their relationship is abusive

there is no way in hell you can excuse him for putting her through all that.

The PoaL ONLY has value to Naruto because He himself has his OWN reasons for saving Sasuke. YES, Sakura's request does weigh heavily on him... but it's not because he loves her... it's because of his nindo that it does so. And did you not read the line where he says he dislikes/hates people who lie to themselves at the end of that arc? This is meant to be a clear contrast to his interaction with Hinata way back in chapter 98. When Hinata was introduced she received a neutral-negative first impression from Naruto (somewhere around chapter 40?), but roughly 60 chapters later he clearly tells Hinata that, "I really like people like you." which in fact includes her, herself AFTER telling her his first impression of her. Now you look at Sakura and his first impression of her is "A pretty girl I really like", to "I really dislike/hate people who lie to themselves". Naruto's trust on certain matters with Sakura had already been broken due to incident that happened during his fight with Hebi-sama. That's not to say that he doesn't have lingering feelings for Sakura, this is meant to show that Naruto's feelings towards people can, and have changed. In fact this isn't the first time Naruto's feelings towards someone. Naruto used to hate just about everyone (mainly because he was on the receiving end of the Village's hate, which leaked down into his peers.), but now he views everyone as a valuable/potential comrade.

No evidence? Wrong. The Hospital arc is proof enough that Naruto has long accepted Sakura's feelings for Sasuke.. and recognizes that Sasuke also has some tenderness to Sakura at that point. The ONLY reason 631 is even a thing, is because it shows Naruto's sense of nostalgia, The last time someone referred Sakura as his girlfriend, was Konohamaru just prior to the chunin arc. To which they got beaten up then. 632 proves it was just a joke, and that he doesn't take whatever feelings he does have for Sakura seriously enough to pursue her in a serious manner. Again this is in clear contrast of his behavior towards Hinata, who he now knows loves HIM, and is ALLOWING her to actively pursue him. Naruto has a habit of making his current feelings known.

Besides Naruto called out Sasuke on his BS, proving that Sasuke DOES care about Sakura and those he considers a comrade. ('Useless" is a mild mistranslation. It has been proven that the contextual phrasing was actually, "There's nothing you can do.", which was repeated to Kakashi by the way... and absolutely correct. There was nothing she, or Kakashi could have done at that present moment.)... The whole fight with Naruto vs Sasuke is basically to remove the darkness that looms and overshadows Sasuke's own heart. Notice that the flashback to their first monitored fight. That was the first time they fought AFTER the U.M., and the moment Naruto recognized that Sasuke's darkness wasn't directed at him... but going through him. Naruto wants to save Sasuke because he knows what Sasuke is going through (even though it's on a much smaller degree).

I/WE DON'T.... that's the thing... no legitimate fan condones Sasuke's behavior. However, that being said, we understand it. Darkness, caused by pain, inadequacy, inability, undeservingness, and basically any form of social, or standardized weakness, is why Sasuke acts like he does. It isn't right, but it IS understandable. Living with the things, and forced to make the decisions that he's had to make, has put him a very dark, and lonely place. In fact his words to Naruto in the latest chapter prove that he's projecting pretty hard. That he's the one who is lonely. We can see he feels the guilt and pain, he's just too guldern prideful... and frankly scared to admit. He shoves people away because of the sense of betrayal that he feels. He really just doesn't want to get hurt again. He believes (wrongly) that strength is doing everything yourself without anyone's help/support... that doing so is a sign of weakness that will only get you killed. Naruto obviously disagrees. The story is about how to balance Sasuke's ideals with Naruto's. Sasuke's song is, "It's too late to apologize", right now.

For goodness sake I read the damn post but it has no relevance as it was an old one and still did not give good enough arguments. And where does it say that naruto no longer loves Sakura? And if sasuke did care about sakura then why did he let her fall into the lava? Did he suddenly forget her or something? Sasuke does not care about anyone else other then naruto, that's it. really, are you serious? narusaku has plenty of moments, like the fact that sakura was willing to kill sasuke in order to protect naruto and bear the burden of narutos hatred. I never said that Naruto stopped loving Sakura. I actually was straight up implying that he never loved her in the first place. Because a superficial crush that was based on just his need for acknowledgement ≠ romantic love. I do NOT deny that Naruto holds a dear spot in his heart for Sakura. Sakura is one of his precious people, a comrade, teammate, and a close friend after all. But that's all it is, and he knows it. He knew in the land of iron that he couldn't accept her confession as being true, since it was in fact a lie.

It IS a fact that you calling SakuSasu abusive, is in fact BS. Because you're basing it on a few violent actions which have nothing to do with him wanting to hurt her in order to seek dominance and control her (which would be indicative of abusiveness) , and everything to do with the darkness in his heart (which is ZERO to do with abuse towards her, and everything to do with self-punishment).

Sasuke did NOT let Sakura fall into lava... where in the fuck are you getting your information? Sakura never touched lava. As far as Sasuke's inaction in that particular scene, it was simply that he didn't deem it necessary to bother himself with saving Sakura, because Kakashi had everything handled. After all, Kakashi was closer Sakura (and Tobi[to]). Sasuke HAD to focus on Kaguya, who was the greatest threat to them all.

Sasuke never chidori'd her in the lava chapter. The chapter where he attempted to chidori her, was because SHE attacked him... just after HE killed Danzo.... Danzo, who, need I remind you, was the very person responsible for the ordering of the U.M. in the first place! Of course he's suspicious of Sakura showing up right then. Not to mention he was going blind from overusing his bloodlimit. We also don't know exactly when Tobi[to] put the white zetsu seeds into him. I'm sure that this had some influence on his mental state at the time, as well as the 'drunken high' feeling that level up gave him. The dude was definitely not in his right mind when all that shit went down.

I never said that NaruSaku don't have moments together.... I, again was clearly implying that those moments don't lead up to romantic bonding. All the moments we see are out of friendship, camaraderie, and their bond as a team... Most of which, now is all tied up in their mutual desire to bring Sasuke back.

It wasn't JUST to protect Naruto (which ultimately was demeaning to Naruto, and not the first time she had done something of that nature), or to bear Naruto's hatred towards her for killing Sasuke. It was ULTIMATELY AND REALLY about her LOVE for Sasuke, and her way to prevent Sasuke from falling further into darkness. (Seems you failed to read that portion of the chapter, that again that was reiterated in a recent chapter.)

No. Sai was wrong, and he admitted to be such, after the Land of Iron incident. Again you failed to read that portion. It is YOU who is denying and overlooking portions of canon.

Naruto knows FULL well Hinata's feelings for him (after 437), and has taken NO STEPS to discourage her pursuit of him. In fact it is VERY CLEAR in 559 that he actually is encouraging her pursuit, and even acknowledges that some of his bravado is for Hinata in 611 (He does this by not denying to Kiba that he was acting because of Hinata's presence. Kiba knows what's up, as he's always been somewhat of a gauge for their relationship). He might have not had a clear answer for Hinata, due to the obvious fact that they are in a War right now, so excuse me quoting PotC here, but "Now's not the time!", for her love Confession to even be given a proper answer. However 559 was a clear indication that he hasn't forgotten it, and intends at some point to address it. It is also quite obvious at the I.T being put into play, that Naruto shares a special connection with Hinata. We know this because he only reacted to her calling to him, and almost broke rank and the safety of Sasuke's Susano'o in an attempt to try to reach her (and the others he probably most certainly felt fading from his senses.)/

I ONLY reason I brought up Naruto's first impressions, was because you folks seem mighty stuck on Naruto can't change his feelings for Sakura. You folks claim that's because that's his nindo, which is utter hogwash. His nindo has NOTHING to do with his personal attraction to Sakura.

Same goes for Hinata to be quite honest, so stop with the double standard.

so, if he is letting hinata approach him then what was the point of calling sakura his girlfriend whether it was in a joking manner or not?
