A good theory I've just thought up is perhaps, IF incubators have their own souls, they're souls are male but their outer forms could be considered female. It would still keep the idea that incubators are androgynous, while making it possible fans to draw him looking feminine in a human form.

I think it's both, I've heard it referred to at points as a girl, sometimes as a boy, so confuzzeling! I'm just gonna call Kyubey an it (probably best)
