(from Go! Princess Precure)I was looking for a completely different drawing when I suddenly came across some Poketrainer Precure pencil sketches from last spring. I thought that since they had some designs I actually liked I could quickly slap some colour on them and post them as a compilation, since this every-season-has-its-own-picture project obviously hasn't been going anywhere in ages. But it turned out that there were more of them than I remembered, so I don't know, maybe I'll try to finish at least the seasons that already have at least one character drawn.Β
Unfortunately the only set that had all the characters designed and sketched were these supporting characters and not the more recognisable main characters... Oh well, gotta start somewhere. I'll have to see what becomes of the others.

Just what the heck is up with the blue one's hair? That's not even my design, I just copied the canon one.

I love the colourful, vibrant outfit designs, and for some reason, the yellow Cure's hairstyle and colour scheme is really appealing to me

In all fairness I didn't come up with any of the colour schemes myself; they're directly copied from the source material.

I don't blame you for taking the colour schemes from your source images - I'm guilty of doing that too!
Also, that way you don't have to spend ages trying to create a colour that is closest to the one used in your source
I found out the hard way without using simple common sense.

Yeah, just using the colour picker is the easiest way to stay true to the source material. Though sometimes if the source material is too dark/edgy/desaturated I have to change the colours a bit to suit the upbeat Pokemon world a bit better, but with children's shows like these the original colours can usually be used as-is.
(I did have to alter some of the not-yet-posted Precure designs since the original colours were too gaudy for my eyes though)

I like the way you make crossovers. I think this Precure/PokΓ©mon one is cool as well! Even if you say this are secondary characters, I did recognize them as your PokΓ©mon/Precure series even before reading that under the watch notifications. I haven't seen the Precure series since Splash Stars, so I don't even know the characters but for their designs, I just recognized the style you used for the other two pieces of art!
The designs you come up with are always that beautiful, you make me wanna draw. Fact is, I am not that good at drawing dresses even if potentially I have ideas, so I usually draw PokΓ©mon :/

In all fairness I haven't seen more than one and a half seasons of Precure, but I actively follow what the franchise is up to with its character designs and transformation animations. They're a lot of fun to draw!
