“Well, Sparky… today’s the big day!” Zuko looked at the Earth Bender, he didn’t understand. “C’mon! Don’t you remember our little bet? “Bet?” He asked.

- 7 days before –

“Sparky! I bet you three beatings against your future Fire Lord crown that you can’t tell Sugar Queen that your crazy obs… in love with her in the next 7 days!” Toph screamed to Zuko, who was thinking at the highest place of the Western Air Temple.
”Yeah, sure!” “Toph’s such a kind girl, she wants to play with my future Fire Lord’s crown” He smiled to himself and continued thinking.

- 7 days after –

“I NEVER PROMISED THAT!”
“C’mon, Sparky. Do it or I’ll give you the beatings anyway” Toph smiled with the same smile she did every time she was planning to do something bad to Aang or Sokka, the same smile that scarred Zuko.
“Alright, but I’ll don’t do that because of that stupid bed, I’ll do it because is time to tell my true feelings to that peasant”.
“Katara, her name’s Katara. I think is time for you to tell her name”

Zuko’s legs were shaking while he walked to the Water Bender, just to think that he was seconds or minutes near to tell her his feelings made his launch, breakfast and last night’s dinner revolved on his stomach.

When he finally stood up in front of her she was practicing with her element. He wanted to talk, but his lips didn’t move.

“Why are you looking at me? Do I have something on my face?”; “Just the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen” He thought, but the words he said weren’t that pretty.
“If you’re going to wash my clothes again to it right! I can see a stain on my shirt!” He took off his shirt and threw it to the floor. When he realized the stupid thing he did it was too late, because a gigantic water jet threw him 20 feet from where he was standing.
“Next time you’re doing that job!” Katara took her thing and ran into her room.
“Damn it! I have to learn how to shut my… ARGHH! Toph! Why did you do that?!” The little Earth Bender gave him the biggest pinch he has ever felt and laughing she said: “Because you screw it, peanut brain. But you tried that why I didn’t give you the 3 beatings and just a pinch. Try to do it better next time”

Zuko watched the girl walking on Katara’s way while he was asking himself if there would be a next time. Katara must be really angry at him.

“Pellizco”

“Pues Sparky… ¡hoy es el gran día!” Zuko miró a la maestra tierra sin comprender. “¡Vamos! ¿Qué no recuerdas nuestra apuesta?” “¿Apuesta?” Preguntó desconcertado.

“¡Sparky! ¡Apuesto tres palizas contra tu corona de futuro Señor del Fuego que no eres capaz de decirle a Sugar Queen en los próximos 7 días que estás locamente obse…enamorado de ella!” Gritó Toph a un Zuko que estaba en el punto más alto del Templo Aire del Oeste practicando su meditación.
“¡¡Sí, claro!!” “Toph es una chica muy tierna, miren que quiere jugar con mi corona cuando sea Señor del Fuego” Zuko sonrió para si mismo y continuó con su meditación.

- 7 días después –

“¡YO NUNCA PROMETÍ ESO!”
“Vamos, Sparky. No te vayas a echar para atrás, que si lo haces las palizas van de todos modos” Toph sonreía, con exactamente la misma sonrisa que daba cada vez que planeaba hacerle una maldad a Aang o Sokka, la misma sonrisa que daba miedo al muchacho.
“De acuerdo, pero no lo haré por la estúpida apuesta, sino porque ya es hora de que aclare mis sentimientos con la campesina”
“Katara, su nombre es Katara. Ya es hora de que aprendas a pronunciarlo”.

Las piernas de Zuko temblaban cada vez más a medida que se aproximaba a la Maestra Agua, el simple hecho de pensar que en unos pocos segundos o tal vez minutos le estaría declarando sus sentimientos causaba que el almuerzo, el desayuno e incluso la cena del día anterior se revolvieran en su estómago.

Finalmente logró pararse frente a ella, quien se encontraba muy concentrada practicando con su elemento. Pero las palabras no salían de su boca.

“¿Por qué te quedas ahí parado mirándome? ¿Acaso tengo algo en la cara?”; “Sólo los ojos más hermosos que he visto en toda mi vida” Pensó, pero cuando su boca se abrió las palabras fueron totalmente opuestas.
“Si vas a lavar mi ropa deberías hacerlo bien. ¡Esta túnica aún tiene una mancha!” Sin siquiera pensarlo se sacó la túnica y la arrojó al piso. Sólo se dio cuenta de la estupidez que había hecho cuando un gigante chorro de agua lo arrojó 10 metros más allá de donde estaba parado.
“¡Para la próxima vez haz el trabajo tú mismo!” Katara tomó sus cosas y se fue enfada a su cuarto.
“Diablos, debo aprender a controlar mi lengua… ¡ARGHH! ¡Toph! ¡¿Por qué hiciste eso?!” La pequeña Maestra Tierra le había dado el pellizco más fuerte que había recibido en 16 años de vida y riendo contestó: “Porque fallaste, cerebro de maní. Pero como al menos lo intentaste decidí no darte las 3 palizas y sólo darte un pellizco. Espero que la próxima vez lo hagas mejor”

Zuko observó a la niña caminar en la misma dirección de Katara mientras se preguntaba si habría una próxima vez, ya que Katara debe estar realmente enfadada con él.
