Description
It was originally gonna be a scene from one of the Eighth Doctor Adventures books, where Eight shows off a room in the TARDIS that is a giant field with a bajillion butterflies. But then I never got around to adding the butterflies. So now it's Eight being happy in a field. The butterflies also would've hidden the bad grass. Oh well.
Eight is possibly my favourite Doctor, but I don't draw him nearly enough.

I could tell this was supposed to be the butterfly room even on thumbnail (before I could see that the butterflies had somehow turned invisible ). So lovely! (So many feels about Eight and his butterfly room, especially in Seeing I.)

Because if one Doctor deserves to just be happy in a field, that is poor, poor Eight...
Love the grass! I want to roll around in it!

This is gorgeous!!!Β *________*Β Add the butterflies and I'll most definitely want this on my wall!Β Β But I know how time-consuming butterflies can be, so...it's beautiful, either way.Β

And the grass is not bad!Β I like the grass.Β Looks nice and soft and blowing gently in the breeze.Β I'm going to run up there and hug Eight now and wait for those butterflies to appear.Β

Oh yeah, I KNOW you know how time-consuming butterflies can be, you've done a lot featuring them (also so much foliage, which I still haven't properly attempted).
You're mostly familiar with the audios though, aren't you? Sadly the butterfly room only appears in the novels. And yes we all want to hug Eight. ^^

They have disappeared into the void.
Mostly I just didn't want to draw a billion butterflies.

Eight is possibly the best Doctor, so I suppose that's okay.
Well. I don't think he could ever be drawn nearly enough, by anyone, ever, so we can't really fault you on that.

I'm in love with this drawing! The coloring is so clean and the shading is done incredibly well! And personally, I don't think the grass looks bad at all! I think it gives the illusion of a brisk wind, and that makes the picture even better!

One of my favourite incarnations, and you've captured his exuberance perfectly. (I remember that scene from the books too.)
