periwinkle, originally, was in training to become a warrior. life was stressful and confusing and scary, with his father breathing down his neck about training, all the while periwinklepaw was fretting over a gender identity crisis, not feeling welcome or correct in his own body. but thanks to his best friend tortoisepaw, it was at least a little more bearable...
life changed one day when he and tortoisepaw were attacked by a coyote, who killed tortoisepaw and severely wounded periwinklepaw, who was now made to stay in the medicine den with alliumshiver, fenclan's medicine cat. coping with the death of his best friend was hard, and it became ever harder after he learned that his twisted foreleg would never heal, and would remain paralysed forever. periwinklepaw became a med cat apprentice, and in honour of his late best friend who would always encourage him too, periwinklepaw finally came out as trans to her clan. nowadays, life is good! however, periwinklewatcher can never seem to shake the feeling of being watched from the shadows...
