Silver Spoon: I know the phrase and its origins but I figure her special talent is making posh desserts. Canterlot restaurant placement is a GREAT thing to aim for (and yes, in the MLP world I'm having upper class restaurants value warm personalities). Plus much as Silver Spoon joins in being mean it was clear at the end of Call of the Cutie that she's a fairly intuitive friend who does care about Diamond Tiara.
These are based on Valentines Day, avoiding the word because I assume it'll be un-canonised by the upcoming Valentines episode, whereas my set-in-the-future comics are less likely to be.
Plus drawing unhappy ponies is AMAZINGLY fun! LOOK AT THEIR LITTLE HEARTS BREAK! BWAHAHAHAHA! ...I am a terrible person.

THIS! THIS RIGHT HERE! Diamond Tiara doesn't need to be stop being the CMC's opposite number, but give us something that actually makes her a CHARACTER instead of a glued together collection of kick the dog moments!

Sadly I find that life experiences rarely change people much all at once: Often they just react to the negative emotion instead of seeing a lesson. 
In some ways it's sad that life isn't like it is in cartoons.

I actually did a story... with a bit of role-reversal, Diamond Tiara became the nice pony and Silver Spoon became more of the bully.
Of course... later Silver Spoon became a super villain O.o; My imagination runs a little wild sometimes.

I normally see Silver as the more empathetic of the two, but I guess it's entirely possible she's just pulling the strings!

Oh yea, she was a pretty good one to. The story was set 13 years down the line, she became a villain named Silver Ghost. Fast, stealthy and skilled with a muzzle blade. Silver Spoon is definitely nicer. I'm hoping they continue to flesh out Diamond Tiara though, that she clearly adores her father makes her adorable to me (which is why I have the photo with the "#1 filly" badge on it in the last panel).
