This show's really cute! I love their little modern-day horse town and their silly little antics, plus that they randomly know a real-life superhero (who has her own TV show).

Huh. Errm. Heh. Uhm.
I've actually only watched 3 seconds of this show, and was already overwhelmed and confused.
That's not a hyperbole, it was actually 3 seconds.
So.... I concede that I didn't give it much of a chance on its own merit, instead only becoming aware of it through discussions on the moral implications of the mind-altering effects of Captain Thunderhoof's Friendship Beam and apparently an existing "there is only ONE TRUE WAY" mentality.
It definitely made for some very good mystery comedy adventure novel though, when Twilight visited Galloping Grove in "We Don't Talk about Captain Thunderhoof" . It all makes sense now.

Oh yeah, the conformity-beam thing was creepy! 
Mostly the show's about the titular characters helping out by doing what they can rather than them relying on the local superhero to do it for them.
