I'd have spent longer on it if I'd expected that! Thank you to whoever thought it was good enough to submit, I'm flattered! 
Quick little pic. I think Bon-Bond was the wackiest friendship problem (and makes me feel silly for never doing anything with my Lyra/Bon secret agents idea), but I liked the resolution. It was very subtly done that Lyra realised through her outburst that keeping secrets from friends feels bad and then understood that Bon Bon probably felt the same. Yay honesty!
And of course I still ship them: Who wouldn't?

It was a great lesson - and all their references to being good friends makes me think: there no reason the person/pony you love shouldn't be your best friend to you as well!

I wouldn't. I don't really do ships and prefer friendship relations. But even if I do not see them this way, it does not change that it is a cute picture

Well I definitely noticed that it could be interpretated that way and its not like I am against others seeing it that way. But it is still about how one chooses to interpretate it and I personally see them as friends still.

From a simply "fandom"-perspective though, it does leave things open for interpretation both ways, leaving the fans to head-canoe around as they please without setting any head-canons on fire.
But as a fanfic writer, I have a very skewed perspective on such things.
