Description It is finally complete!

I have been working on this cosplay since August 2011, and I debuted it at DTAC 2011 in Toronto!

Super happy how the outfit came out! Made everything by hand and I am just so happy how it all turned out!

My good friend Even took the photo's (aren't they beautiful!? )

Wow, it's amazing ^_^ you couldn't by any chance tell me how much fabric you used? Because my sister's doing the Ice Queen at a con in April and we're making her dress, but we're not sure how much fabric we're going to need.

Hey there Bumbly!

I used about 6 meters of the base blue and about another 6 meters for the dark blue. I ran out of the Dark Blue fabric the fastest while working on the costume since it was lots of trial and error with the details and the top body part. But I alao had a lot of fabric because I used a 3 hooped petticoat under neither, so if you have a petticoat the more fabric you use.

what makeup did you use for Ice Queen?

HareyuNanami In reply to ScribbleYugi [2012-01-20 02:05:20 +0000 UTC]

its a face paint called Snazaroo, and I applied Baby Powder as a sealer to keep the make up from running. I DO However do not recommend using Snazaroo in really hot weather . It will run because its a water based. I used Snazaroo for a winter con and it was the only thing available to me at the time. If I had a choice I would rather have gone with Ben Nye creamed based make up and stays a bit longer. (I find better for hotter conventions and cosplay). Also sealed with Baby Powder (It really is the best form of sealer and cheap/easy to get.) Also if you plan to use Snazaroo keep it on you for touch ups and a water bottle (since its a face paint) to use ONLY apply the make up with. Just a bit on an input xD

I love the elegance of the dress, you pull it off absolutely fantastically! Favorite cosplay ever. You win the Internet. FOREVER.

You are most definitely welcome! Elegant is exactly the word for it. The costume and design is simply fantastic, and you wear it so well (never mind the fact that I'm quite obsessed with all things Ice Queen ).

Majorest of props to you!

I've commented on the eye brow thing before XD
but I spent maybe 3 months trying to figure out how to do the eyebrows. The only thing I could think of was pipe cleaners and I thought it would look horrible!
D= So I left it out for the convention. But once it snows here and I put my Ice Queen on again for some pictures, I hope to figure out those darn Eye brows! XD

Maybe you could try cutting some strands off your wig and styling them using hairspray, to hold? I don't know if this would work or not, I haven't tried it, but my sister's planning on doing an IQ cosplay in April this year at a con and that's about all I can think of that might work.
