跑步: păobù (ran) I'd like to share with you this drawing. I was inspired by a variety of scenarios that I've encountered since last year and at the beginning of this year. So this image has a lot of meanings: Tita, my parrot, and her journey through life. I wanted to convey the mental change; therefore, I only drew her head. Then, I scribbled in the background the Chinese term 跑步, which means "to run," because Tita can say "Corre" in Spanish, which indicates continually running to find something better in life. To summarize, my country is experiencing difficult times. Young people like me don't seem to have career opportunities. I really feel fortunate and glad to have a healthy family. This drawing reflects Tita's problems and changes, as well as the artist's own experiences. The use of the Chinese phrase "to run" enhances the piece's cultural importance.
