Ok... this took ages to animate.
The actual pixel details didn't take too long, but trying to navigate three different scroll speeds as frames did my head in. First two times (both taking ages to attempt) were a disaster. I mostly pulled it together on the third, but had to go backwards from the start to get a proper loop. I nearly rage quit….
It wasn’t as flashy as I’d have liked, the scale of getting all those frames to line up (there are 81 with three layers each) was far bigger than I expected.
All done by hand, etc etc. I was going to enter this in pixelchallenges.deviantart.com… however I ran out of time to submitt TAT)/

If I had any criticism, it's that there's /far/ too much dithering going on.

Yeah, I was going to just use one line of light green for the grassy hills to highlight, but the dirt ones got more and more complex. Then it was all or nothing so I went over everything.
