Description

James Garfield Logan was a Meta-Mutant born to Canadian Scientists at the turn of the 19/20th Century. His ability to heal from any injury or illness almost instantly allowed him to live far longer than normal and may mean that he is practically immortal. During the 1980s, after years of working as a soldier of fortune and assassin for hire, he was kidnapped and tortured by the Weapon X-Change programme, a shady government science group looking to take advantage of Meta-Mutant abilities. They thought that his healing ability would allow them to produce antibodies for any illness they would infect James with including a disease spreading to humans from the African Green Monkey, a viralant virus that shut down the human immune system. The disease produced a strange change in James, mixing with his healing ability. He gained green-skin and hair, increased speed and agility, heightened senses and the ability to take on aspects of any animal he could think of. It also blocked much of his memory turning him, for a while at least, into a mindless creature, named by the press The Weapon X-Changeling. After some time he was found by John Xavier and some of his memories and his humanity were restored to him. He joined the Titans-X, nicknamed by Twilight as 'Beast-Bub' due to the word 'Bub' which James used a great deal.
