Description distracted by the end, until the end
selfless with a strong sense of self
one foot on the pedal,
the other in my mouth

no offense, ma'am
no offense,
but I'm displeased.
no offense, sir
no offense,
but I'm disappointed
     by your lack of color.

my wild pulse! the fighting strands!
a trip to the circus.
don't make me turn this catapult around.

I'm working harder these days:
All proceeds to the mindless
- I mean,
the homeless.

(no offense.)

I want to understand what is going on here, but I cannot quite get it. The end I sort of get.

Love your method for choosing a title.

That makes two of us, haha.

I went through a period in high school where I never got more than six hours of sleep a night, and in my afternoon haze, hungry before dinner, the lightheadedness made me particularly productive poetically speaking. I practiced what's known as automatic writing. Random phrases would stick in my head and I would string them together just to sublimate it from thought to tangible thing. So while there's not a whole lot of meaning, the writing is rather effective for me on a personal level because it takes me back to the exact feelings I had when I first wrote it down. I try not to load my poetry with a whole lot of meaning; just immediate experience.

Interesting method. And I'm not sure about the lack of meaning. I think it's there, I just can't figure it out.

I used to do something similar with cut-up, stringing random phrasing together until they same something, the what I can't say. I don't think this one has even been interpreted the same way twice. [link]

This one is made up of lines edited out of other poems (mostly). [link]

Random things I saw and heard one afternoon. [link]

I know, I'm a shameless self-promoter.
