The latest Nintendo Direct revealed that the newest Smash fighter isn't Crash, but instead it's Pyra and Mythra. Goshdarn it, I can keep dreaming, can't I!? Perhaps later this year he'll be revealed? Maybe. I dunno.

Now I don't hate the new fighters, but I'm more interested in Pyra's moveset if anything. Mythra's okay I guess. Just catching up on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 through a walkthrough on YouTube as I'm typing this.

However, considering Activision's 5-year plan for Crash Bandicoot which includes:

- N. Sane Trilogy multiplatform port (confirmed for Xbox One, Switch and Steam)

- CTR Nitro-Fueled (confirmed)

- DLC for Nitro-Fueled (confirmed in the form of free Grand Prix updates)

- Crash mobile game (confirmed to be Crash On the Run which will come out in March this year)

- Crash 4 (confirmed to be It's About Time which was released on PS4 and Xbox One and will get a multiplatform release this year)

All that's left is Crash in Smash 2021 on the list. I mean c'mon. It's gonna be his 25th anniversary soon, and Smash Ultimate had the slogan "Everyone is Here!". Missing such an ambitious occassion would cause a humongous uproar from the Crash fanbase.

If Nintendo refuses to put our beloved bandicoot in the popular crossover fighting game, I'll put on a Crash suit, drive on over to their headquarters and use a megaphone to call them out for not putting Crash in Smash. I'm kidding of course, but maybe next game in 5 years from now?
