If it were for Spyro, Spyro would get the same abilities as Mario, Hunter as Luigi, Bianca'd get Peach's, and James Byrd, the duck-like Penguin would replace Toad. As for Wart, i don't know if he'd get replaced, but if he does so, he'd be replaced by either Gnasty Gnorc, Ripto (more likely, since he's the most used villain), or the Sorceress (she does look like Wart).
