They wanted the crazy, psychotic crate-obsessed blue kangaroo, Ripper Roo.
Overall the second boss in Crash 1 after Papu Papu and the first boss in Crash 2 (after going through therapy and becoming an author). Trust me, I'm a Crash Bandicoot veteran.

Did you know that Ripper Roo's laugh from the PS1 games were actually an archive recording from the Disney movie "Lady and the Tramp"? That laugh was provided by the late actor Dallas Mckennon.
