Description

Amy Rose could not have been more happier. Ever since she called her blue, spiky lover on her own Miles Electric out for a "date", Amy was eager to get dressed, spray some perfume and make a good first impression during their day out. However, everything changed when the most unexpected event occurred.

Just as Amy walked out of her apartment and strolled across the city, she saw the world-famous Sonic the Hedgehog with someone else... It was a female, purple cat from an alternate dimension, holding hands together. Just the mere sight of the cat holding hands together with Sonic was enough to completely break Amy's heart, thinking she got dumped for another girl. Dropping the shopping bags she brought as gifts for her crush, Amy let out a depressed whine and ran across the streets.

Sonic heard the cries and he knows what's up. He can't let one of his close friends become sad forever. "Stay here, Blaze. I gotta check up with an old friend of mine." The purple cat who was apparently called Blaze took his words for granted. "Alright, Sonic. But make it quick." Without any word, the blue hedgehog ran through the city at the speed of sound, until he finally caught up with Amy. She was sitting out on the docks, sobbing tears from seeing such an event.

Being the hero that he is, Sonic sat down next to Amy and positioned her face to see his emerald green eyes, shining like the sun. "Amy... are you okay?" Amy just looked down in shame. She had no idea what is going on between him and Blaze, and what their 'holding hands' bit even meant. "Oh, nothing... I just saw you with that cat girl, and you were-" "Oh, that?" Before Amy can even finish her sentence, Sonic quickly interrupted and told her it was all a misunderstanding.

"We were just hanging out. Blaze apparently arrived to our world because she missed me. I couldn't leave her hanging." "So, that's it?" Amy raised her voice in a jealous manner. "You don't want to hang out with me? You're gonna leave me behind while you go out and fight Eggman or whatever? Why didn't you care for me all this time?!" "Chill, Amy, chill!" Sonic told her to breathe in and out and let go of her problems. "I don't actually hate you, Amy... it's just, I really like you more as a friend."

"Huh?" Hearing what Sonic said made Amy very curious... did he really mean it? "Look, as much as I don't like your fangirly attitude when we first met, you are really strong with that Piko-Piko Hammer of yours. And we did make a pretty good team in the past. I'm just not sure if I have the time to go out on your dates." Amy tilted her head upon hearing his confessions. Sure, she did have a tendency to hug Sonic tight wherever he is, but she's gotten more independent over the years, going through her own path. Thinking about it now... maybe he was right. They are just not ready for a relationship, and seeing Sonic go out with Blaze made it clear that he has found his own romantic partner.

"I...I understand. If you'd like us to be friends, then that's okay with me, Sonic. But you will promise me that we'll have to team up again one of these days, right...?" "Alright, Amy. We'll do our best to save the world from Eggman and his army of scrap metal." The two hedgehogs cuddled their arms around their bodies and forgave each other. Everything is settled peacefully between Sonic and Amy, and all seems well.

Suddenly, Blaze shows up on the front of the docks. Sonic noticed the sound of her footsteps and got up to greet her. "I've missed you, Sonic." Blaze calmly spoke in a noble manner, given that she's the princess of her world and all. The blue hedgehog shook her hand and embraced each other romantically. "I've missed ya, too. There's someone I'd like you to meet." Sonic stepped away to let Amy approach the fiery princess.

"It's been a long time, Blaze! I've... changed a lot since we've first met." All Blaze can give was a joyful chuckle, seeing as she too have changed a lot ever since she first arrived to Sonic's world. "It has been a long time... I hope we'll get to know each other and have a wonderful time together." Everything has been patched out between the purple cat and blue and pink hedgehogs. They all spent the whole day visiting the diner, having lunch, going shopping and taking a stroll across the city. It may have been all a misunderstanding, but at least Amy has made herself a new female friend.

Whew, this one took a while to write. But considering I am more of a Sonaze fan than a Sonamy fan, this one satisfies both sides, I hope. But you can at least respect me for seeing Sonic and Amy as just close friends, same with Silver and Blaze. Hope y'all enjoyed the story at least.
