Edit: STOP LOOKING AT THIS. IT'S HIDEOUS.I consider this an early birthday present for ~Silym this year. Her b-day is this month. ;D
These are our two favorite DC superheros. Sil's got the Bat and I got Supes. Oh wait, I think she likes the Green Lantern more, but Bats is still high up there for her.
Yeeeees, I know Batsy isn't very short. He's around 6'0'', maybe taller. Frankly, Superman dwarfs every character he stands next to by at least a foot, so Sil and I like maintain the illusion that Batman is a bitter midget - like... Wolverine. ;B We could swear that he's also a sloucher, so he's making it harder on himself.
Sorry that Batman kind of looks like he's wrapped in plastic. My bad. These two are FUN to draw though. And fun to watch when they're on the same episode. I went crazy on Youtube looking for clips with both of them in it. Oh, that reminds me...

Although in the instance of this comic, I see reason for Batman to slap Superman in the face with it.

Since Christopher Reeves played him, since Reeves was 6'4. They changed it to match him.

this is cute cause Bats looks like he is trying to be tough with the cowl and the darkness and the gadgets but Supes is just there all bright colored and powerful. Looks like they are in an elevator for some reason meeting for the first time. 
in that youtube clip Batman was on something...oh i mean he was on an invisible vehicle. i was expecting to see a clip from any of the Batman Begins, Gotham Knight, or Dark knight movie s where he glides around but I give you mad props for showing the 90s animated series.

Oh, of course! Batman may be dark, captivating, and frankly has a bigger fanbase than Superman... but Clark embodies something more than an "interesting" or "cool" superhero has to offer. He's an honest and good person you'd actually want to know and be with - a hero that isn't ashamed of being straightforward, heroic, patriotic, moral, and - well, larger than life. His utmost clarity and love for doing what's right is what continues to make Superman different from the rest in this age of "complicated" heroes. That and more is why I'm taking his side, because he's my number one superhero. :]

In the cartoon? I guess he just likes to be in control.
In the comic the kryptonite is given to him by Superman as a symbol of trust, as in Clark trusts him to not abuse the kryptonite and take him down if he ever gets mind controlled or goes crazy. Batman takes it really seriously, he's usually the first to arrive in an anti-Superman situation and he's kind of touchy about other people having kryptonite.
Also there's an issue where he leaves it in the cave and a villainess steals it and when he realizes he flips, so I guess he just wants to know where it is 24/7?
